I loved this movie so much . It was very funny and it reminded me of how my family is when i am at the dinner table . You will laugh and cry but it all comes together very well . The acting was incredible and so was the writing . I really enjoyed how the story unfolded and the little lessons about life that you learn as it goes on . I think now more than ever we need a movie that can bring a smile to our faces and make us laugh. Overall I really feel this is a hit movie that I could watch over and over again . This is a must see movie that the whole family can enjoy ! If I could give it 11 Stars I would !
Grew up Italian and the over-bearing mother is def a relatable character. Entertaining and enjoyable movie with a great ensemble cast. Pastor Joe is funny as the "family" priest, Abagail Breslin does a good job at being the odd person out dealing with their potential/future mother-in-law. The family dinner scenes make you want to grab some Italian for dinner tonight and the grandmother has some great comic relief moments. Give it a watch on Prime and enjoy a movie with a different story-line than what you usually see being put out there these days. Makes you appreciate family and realizing how fast someone can be there and gone the next day.
From the vibrant heart of Naples to the silver screen-Luca Riemma delivers a powerful new film that blends raw emotion, gripping storytelling, and unmistakable Italian soul. Don't miss the latest cinematic gem from one of Naples' finest talents. Experience the world through Luca Riemma's eyes-authentic, unforgettable, and absolutely unmissable. Without a doubt, his performance was a highlight of the film, contributing significantly to its overall impact and memorability. His ability to seamlessly transition between comedic and dramatic moments was incredibly impressive, bringing to life a character that truly resonated.
Timing is everything and this feel good, humorous and relatable drama about an awkward, crazy "meet the parents" clash is just what we needed.
How boring life would be if we were all alike. Our differences compliment each other and this film captures the essence of love through compromise and humor.
A great collaboration of screenwriting, casting, directing and acting to help us laugh at ourselves and shed a tear when most of us have become emotionally jaded with violent movies.
We enjoyed watching the story unfold and actually have an ending as most movies today leave you hanging without a conclusion and we are left imagining our own ending to the story.
Thank you!! This film is just what we needed!

If you liked My Big Fat Wedding, you will love this film. Just to clarify, the family in this film is Italian and not Greek.
I loved the casting, especially Lilly the girlfriend. That young actress is going places.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I first started to watch The Italians but with this sharp script, I laughed out loud so many times during the film and I loved it.
The editing was really clever, and skipping around the timeline was fun. I loved the confession scenes. So funny.
I gave it a 10 out of 10, which I normally don't do. It was a fun movie to watch and seeing how the characters' arcs were unexpected.
Give it a try, I think you'll love it too.
