    The Value of Friendship

Riley (Jackie Gleason) and Junior (Lanny Rees) are studying for their respective schoolwork. Riley is going to night school to learn more to communicate with his teenage children and make advancements at work. He's helping fellow good natured classmate Tony (Italian character actor Tito Vuolo) with English, but both are struggling with history. When Tony whips out his grammar book during a test, Riley snatches the book to cover for him but is caught by Miss Clyde (Queenie Leonard) and expelled. When his friends and family finds out, Riley conceals the truth from them. Everyone soon learns the special reason why.

Comedy takes a back seat to heart in this feel-good episode.

How to be a true friend

This is actually a sweet episode where Riley is being really sweet. He is attending night school - a history class - with a Spanish friend. While there, his friend uses a book during the test. Riley tries to stop him and is accused of cheating instead. He's ashamed, but wants to protect his friend who has a very important event coming up in his life.

This was a sweet episode. I especially liked the ending. Not sure if they do it this way anymore, but it's interesting what was required to do this. (Sorry, can't give any specifics without spoiling it).

This is one of the better episodes. Babs is again missing from this episode. I wonder if there is something going on with the actress who plays her.
