You see, back in 2009, Cartoon Network was experimenting on something: Getting rid of their cartoons to make room for live-action programming. Now, as much as that was the dumbest idea ever, they pumped out some good shows, in which I watched two: Destroy, Build, Destroy, and the subject of today's review: Brain Rush.
This was a pretty cool show. The premise was simple: Just grab some random kid, take them on an awesome roller-coaster, and give them trivia. Seems simple. And it was.
The only problem I had with this show was the host himself. He could come off as a little rude, like in one episode, he wouldn't shut up about some contestant (named Trevor) who was apparently "crying" his answers.
So, that was Brain Rush, and overall, it was a pretty okay show. I like the idea of people answering trivia questions and winning some cash while having fun on roller coasters. But... It has a low rating on this site, all because people couldn't get over the fact that Cartoon Network once tried to abandon their trademark cartoon- making. Look, CN Real was pretty stupid, but if you look past all that, you may find some pretty entertaining shows in the CN Real library. This is one of them. Maybe this should have been on the Game Show Network.
So, yeah, this was a pretty good show. Check it out if you want.

Now the concept of CN-Real was pretty dumb, I mean stop making cartoons for live action shows? I mean, it was pretty stupid. But this show wasn't exactly bad.
I mean the show was fun to watch, watching teenagers riding roller coasters while answering easy-to-moderate trivia to earn money, simple yet entertaining. Watching their reactions was pretty funny too.
However, despite how entertaining it was for me, it wasn't in the right place to be a lasting show. If it was on a channel like GSN (now Game Show Network), it could've lasted 2-3 seasons. Sadly, it was an experiment with a lot of potential that went down the drain. However, it does call for a good nostalgic drip.
