Jobs for the Boys

Winston clashes with his father, who's tired of his son's inability to get a job. Thomas is also struggling to find a job, instead relying on Susan to bring in the bread. Both Winston and Edward have jobs going, but they argue as to who is better suited to the relevant jobs.

This first series is proving to be so consistent, this is yet another excellent episode, this one is full of mishaps, outbursts and misunderstandings. It's way better than plenty of shows at the time, but it's almost obscure.

Full of funny scenes, and clashes of class and culture. This is the first time we get to see the Two fathers agree on something, not only do their have colour prejudices, but they're also classist and chauvinistic, both believing that their wives belong at home.

Will this family ever unite or settle?
