Good clip with a nice concept

I guess I can say this is Capital Inicial's second best video of all time - it only loses to the creative and humored "Como Devia Estar" (which doesn't have a page on the website). Musically speaking "Fátima" is one of the most inspired moments for the band, that got a great help from Renato Russo who composed the brilliant lyrics of this song. As for the video, it has a nice concept but it's presentation is far too date and lacking.

Here, a blonde kid watches a TV screen hidden on the beach sand showing images of world wars, dictators, destruction and chaos. The kid is deeply focused on the images that also presents the band performing the song.

Everything is so loud and strange yet the kid cannot take his eyes off the screen, while the lyrics make several questionings about the ways of life, tragedy, conflicts in the Cold War era and religious imagery turned the opposite of what they were written (the final bits of the song when some biblical moments are told contrary to the way they were described e.g. "and suddenly the wine changed into water").

In visual terms "Fátima" is ridiculously dated but the concept works to present its message about an era and its problems. People back then always felt that they were at the brink of a nuclear war and disaster was eminent and the images and sounds reflect this sentiment.

The song makes it all look and sound more appealing. It's nice to watch. 8/10.
