Italian director Gabriele Salvatores shows that events of the past have a direct bearing on actions of the present.

It is being said that human beings live in present times. This is because we are always in a present which is continually moving but is largely dependent on past events as they help us to make choices, decisions and moves into present times. It can be surmised that Gabriele Salvatores must have taken into account both past and present events seen in his life before he set out to direct "Stella". This short film takes into account two different time periods which have shaped the leading character's life. In the past there was a kid who saw how a single mother would go to any extent in order to give a good life to her kid. With the passage of time, there is a change of scenario as this same person sees a different aspect of her new life when an important "once in a life" chance is offered by her to another person who has also experienced tough times. The key thing is to remain firm in order to expect miracles which might come along one's way. As a short film Stella works as it is a good example of how a person can excel in life regardless of its tragedies only if there is determination.

    roots

A delicate short film about the shadows of past and the modeling of present. A story of a mother stealing for happiness of her daughter. With terrible consequences.

After decades, her daughter is front to a chance. For better future.

And the advice changing, in gentle, precise manner , her future.

A beautiful film for its message. About the touch of past and the answers of future, about the life as chain of options and about source of hope and courage.

Well acted, well crafted and magnificent atmosphere of 1980 decade.

    Touching for many reasons.

Beautiful for the precious lesson offered to viewer about obstacles and their status.
