This show is a production of the famous state funds leach Arte.TV. The fame is built up on artsy movie productions and some not so often expensive theatrical shows in the range of opera or drama. Somehow the directors have migrated from this goal towards a bit of social and science. X:enius is the attempt at science. But scientism it is. Of course, the typical waste of public funds is obvious by the generous use of outdoor scenes. And that is about it. The finish quality is about the same with the US shows from the 1970s, maybe some of the 1980s. Still, the worse thing is the very badly documented and badly scripted episodes.
