    • Trivia
Archived newspapers report that this program included the traditional firehouse routine, the Irish washerwoman bit, clowns throwing buckets of water all about, and clown doctors with stomach pumps. Robert Merrill performed an aria about the tragic clown in the opera 'I Pagliacci.' Martha Raye sang a sentimental version of 'Be a Clown.' Red contributed his classic pantomime of 'The Squeaking Door,' Greer Garson was also supposed to appear on this program but she was filming in Europe.
