Broken Contact: A Poltergeist Story

We rented this one night out of boredom, unsure whether it was supposed to be a "ghost show" or a movie-movie and 78 minutes later I'm fairly confident in calling it the later.

Basically a couple of Vegas "bros" with random tattoos and giant bottles of whey powder go around to places where people "felt something" and try to prove poltergeists but it comes off like a bad Paranormal Activity movie then just as things start to happen, it ends... The first thing that stood out to me is how completely clean and empty these "haunted houses" are. Being a traveler myself, it's fairly obvious that these al"haunted houses" are all air b-n-b's, including one of the host's houses, which is so ridiculously clean and empty that there's not a chance a single man actually lives there.

I definitely wouldn't have paid money to watch this and next time I'll come here to check reviews before shelling out $$$ to watch such ridiculousness.

I thought this was a film it's not. You wanna see them when they do the spirit box. Just random words "coming through them" and the gadget that picks ups what ghosts are saying. Meaningless abstract one letter words. Each glass that flys out of the cupboards could have been pushed from the other end not seen on shot. These guys are just two dude stoners with some electrical toys talking rubbish. Invisible wires and bull crap.

I'll leave it at that. They tried to make it good. The storyline did have potential, if they didn't draw so many scenes out, it could have been better. There was really nothing scary or nothing that you haven't seen before. Just a lot of back and forth of the same thing.

Totally agree with another reviewer that the "home" of one of them is definitely not. The house is bare. No ornaments, photos, art on the wall, coasters on the coffee table, drawers for clothes or anything. Barren. Either a stage set or rental for the film, as are some of the others, so already makes you think about how much more of it is faked (all of it) Not a great deal of any major interest happens. The youtubers try to act unscripted and 'natural' yet don't quite pull it off. It feels very scripted. Basically a paid plug for their social media. A lot of the content is fluffed out with pointless footage like opening a car, over head shots of the car etc. Felt like it tried to evoke the tension and feel of such as Blair witch and paranormal activity with the interviews over the phones with supposed real people, and such cases, and the sudden ending, yet didn't have enough creepy content in the middle to build it up.

I have seen a lot of paranormal vids and I liked this one. The guys seem pretty honest and the things that happen are downright creepy.
