Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh

You get to hear both of them. Movie does a balanced job to put both ideology forward through their character and dialogues. More importantly movie does give Godse a space(broad and significant) to put forward his thoughts and reasonings which his supporters feel due in history.

It starts with one ideology domination but picks up nicely and smoothly. A love story in between make the movie dry for sometime but it proves to be a plot put to give an important message towards end.

Movie does justice with history may be because it hardly touches much historical events. Movie is not just another recreation of same already known historical events. Its the dialogue and practice of their(both) ideology which leaves the message.

An important and balanced watch to have in this much polarized era.

Many users online have written that GG: Ek Yudh is an Anti Gandhi film trying to malign his ideologies and promote Godse's ideologies. To these users spreading fake news , watch the film first and then give opinion and do not misguide others .

The film fully supports Gandhi's ideologies. In fact , in the 2nd half, we see Gandhi taking several steps to curb oppression and violence in the society. In fact, i would say, this is a Gandhi class where Godse is the student understanding that Gandhi was not always wrong . However, the film gives Godse a chance to keep his opinions too and while mostly he's proven wrong , it is in the climax where Godse trumps Gandhi when a major flaw in Gandhi's character is exposed. This entire classroom sequence takes place in a prison and it was quite interesting to watch (for many it might not be and just become too preachy).

It is to be noted, the film is a fictional tale where Gandhi "survives" Godse's assassination attempt hence they are able to put forward their thoughts . Godse seemed a person dreaming only of a Hindu country but Gandhi wants all religions to be together living with peace and harmony.

The execution of this film is very average tbh barring the prison sequence which is a touch better. After 2nd half, the film shows Gandhi go in full badass mode popping up wherever there is oppression and violence. This part, the film moves at such break neck speed that you are never really allowed to settle down with whatever is going on. This is where the film faltered completely . It almost felt like I am watching one of those superhero films where a superhero would save the day from multiple sequences of oppresion shown in quick succession.

Performances of actors playing Gandhi Godse is too good. Gandhi's make-up is just top notch so much so that i mistook him often for the real Gandhi . Godse, well i am not sure how he looked but his performance was just out-standing!! There dialogue delivery and body language made sure a preachy prison sequence also became interesting.

Overall, a better execution would have made this film a terrific treat for Gandhi and Godse followers . It's unique up front and has terrific performances. Give it a chance , maybe you will like it or might not, i can't say that but i..i liked it quite.

Nice experiment done by Rajkumar Santoshi in Indian cinema. This what if- Alternate history experiment movie is very thought provoking. This clash of ideologies and the very basis of which idea of India is formed. It is also well balanced and has captured very well what emotions prevailed in our country during that time and the challenges it faced. Also that last scene is just jaw dropping.

The only complaint I have is that they chose to show flaws in Gandhi's ideology on social issues but didn't offer his point of view on his religious bias and appeasement as in he just ignored Godse's counter on that aspect.

The good thing about this movie is that Rajkumar Santoshi will receive flak from both left and right wing. This nuance was much needed in our political discourse which has become too extreme to even listen to the other side.

I like this movie ....gandhi godse vichardhara ......it was tottaly different that we think and taught by the politicians in their speeches .....please see the reality of real akhand bharat in this movie ......i am disagree at some points in the movie ...when some conversation bw gandhi and godse r made by producer and director ...when gandhiji should have to keep their point but they speechless ...and don't shown by the movie makers ...this shows wronge neretive in the people.

E.g. When godse ask about subhash chandr bose ....and sardaar vallabh bhai patel ....i wants to listen gandhiji points at that time .....but movie makers made it speechless conversation ....this is totally wronge ..

The concept is one of its kind where veteran director mr Santoshi has made a tremendous presentation of this concept

The ideology of both the leaders was accurately defined and how both convinced each other on their perceptions and mistakes

The conversation is so highly pitched which clears all our doubts and gives a new prospective to rethink about living and humanity

The movie is so much potential of knowledge which was perfectly presented in dialogues and scenes

Both Chinmay and Deepak has played fabulous one can observe high levels of acts , expressions, emotions , rage , dialogues delivery which is seen only in these types of non commercial films

This was purely a OTT show where whole family can sit together and learn the ideologies.
