Rose, is indeed a wonderful movie, the characters are beautiful described by the director and the actors, and of course Sofie Gråbøl as one of the leading actors are exceptional as a schizophrenic woman going with her sister on a group bus travel from Denmark to France. The film has all the aspects of a great movie, sad, sweet, tragic, friendship, and sorrow. It is a very Danish film, but also on a very high international level. One the actors, a 12 years old boy is acting so balanced professional that you forget he is acting. The film is also a tribute to Paris, its scenery. Not to be missed.
This is one of the strongest and most touching movies I've ever seen.... It will make you cry, it will make you laugh..... but most of all it will make you think.
Are healthy people compassionate and humane? Or are the ill ones those who can teach us how to be like this? Are we ready to see deeper into someone's soul. Further than his / her illness. This film gives some of the answers which maybe different than the makers' intentions. Still, these answers do make you think about the past and the present including the people we met and meet and their impact into one's life.
Humour mixed with touching moments which make you drop a tear. It is a film after which you see the special-need people differently. Great European work which is worth seeing. The acting work is very good, just like the script.

The heart is in the right place. However, to be directed by such an experienced filmmaker it feels very amateurish in its execution. The pacing and staging has the feel of a debutante,
resembling the work of a newly graduated film school student. But thanks to the often poignant and sincere tone, the overall end result is a sweet sympathetic film.
It's hard to imagine this director's intentions with the slow and awkward editing. There are far too many on the nose situations where the crunch factor is never far away, racing the question where the producer was?
Even the form was below par at times the overall viewing was sweet. It's an "airplane movie".

This movie was emotional yet could carry it's
comedic moments well. It was a very good and realistic balance. It felt true to itself as also is
the character of inger.
It showed the different sides of the mental ilness schizophrenia even in the slightest detail. The way the actres uses eye contact and body language makes her so believable.
The movie also showed the difficulty of having a schizophrenic person around you or in your family, the characters surrounding Inger show that well. I think they showed all if only most of the reactions different people could have when confronted with Inger. There is laughter, love, understanding and bonding but also misunderstanding, disgust and hate (one character embodied this the most).
She is not portrayed as a comic relief but as a true person, one of the strong points of this movie.
To add to this movie is the music, adding an emotional kick to the movie, blending in nicely.
This movie was a real good one, I hope it gets praise for its acting, script and score!
