First like any other shojo mojo they always goes with the monster of week troope, not saying they stop but instead it was pretty awesome they went Hawaiine for the story from going to aquarium, to the Grand Ocean where Laura come from, finally the dark mansion of evil queen.
The characters on this series were funny n enjoyable Manatsu n Laura chemistry were the highlight meaning the obnoxious of Laura caring for her looks, been hustle lot from Manutsu emotionally loving n determined spirit goes hand to hand. When one episode starts already what Laura goona say, or trouble Manatsu is gonna cause, laughing for it. Sango was the heart of the team, always been the shield. By few last episodes she only see getting an awesome upgrade, interesting on her been model instead a makeup artist.
Minori doubt on writing a story was the pain that couldn't overcome, shy n bookworming .
Then finally the tennis Asuka becomes the hothead of the team her backstory was one good than any others, feud with school chandler.
For bad guys there weren't much to say about them, enjoy the baby cleaning specially the haunted house episode.
By the end of the series I like how everything was gonna change cause Laura decision on staying with her friends or return home to become the next teacher, now that's drama done.
So conclude few months saw hopes been a 12 episodes than 50 one, was strange with tropical was way better cause the dynamics of over emotional Manatsu n popped queen Laura, it awesome she has feud with Asuka.
Forgetting this first Precure is not fairy bringing their charms instead a mermaid?
