Maf's SuperMarioLogan Movie

It's a pretty decent average film the voice acting could use work and the dialogue could be a lot better also the audio could also use some work and some are just really way too loud search like juniors voice this movie was pretty good decent at least for me it's a pretty funny film.

I was looking forward to this film as I've been waiting for an SML movie for quite some time. So how was this film? Kinda disappointing. I might do a full review on YouTube as I did with Horrid Henry: The Movie, but simply put, this film tends to feel too fast at times due to it's short runtime. It's actually kinda funny since The MAFDOMiNUS Movie (from the same guy) was an hour and 30 minutes, and although I never watched that movie, it's a perfectly acceptable runtime. This movie wants to do a lot, but due to only being an hour overall, the film feels kinda rushed. Also, some characters don't appear as much as they should.

I was also quite disappointed by the lack of characters like Cody, Toad and maybe even Jeffy. The voices are hit-and-miss too. Black Yoshi and Shrek's voice actor does a supreme job as he sounds near-identical to Lance and some like Brooklyn T. Guy's actor do a pretty good job, but Mario barely sounds like he does in the real SML and I'm not fond of Junior's voice as it sounds a bit too obnoxious and whiny (but at least it doesn't sound overly high-pitched like he did in his earlier appearances in SML).

This film is also apparently supposed to be at the end of the SML timeline, so it's a bit strange to see that Mama Luigi is still alive without an explanation or how Rosalina and Jeffy are treated as they don't exist as the film never brings them up. I like to see this movie as instead it's own canon with some inspiration from pre-Jeffy SML, which to be honest, I'm actually perfectly fine with. I actually like how MAFDOMiNUS took more inspiration from the older SML, but created his own version of the universe to not seem like the movie is trying too hard to replicate Logan's style and still be it's own thing whilst staying true to classic SML.

I also liked the premise of Junior and Chef Pee Pee avoiding villains whilst going on a road trip. It honestly does feel in-line to something Logan would have done pre-Jeffy.

But overall, Maf's SuperMarioLogan Movie is a very middling movie to me. It's a shame because there are signs of what could have been a genuinely great movie. I won't be too harsh on this movie though as MAFDOMiNUS seemed very passionate about making an SML movie and it's still an independent production that was made for YouTube with a low budget.

I do definitely think that MAF tried, but there could have been more time to polish the film.

This is a good movie, no doubt, however that doesn't mean there's no problems with it. Now, this was made to be a finale to SML, and while its like that some of the time, the others are a bit questionable. For a finale on SML, it truly takes inspiration from things that aren't SML. All in all, for a conclusion on SML as a whole, I feel like this would be better and succeed a bit more if it was just a "___ goes to ___!" sort of thing. Like a vacation video rather than a conclusion of something 10 years in the making.

Maf's super Mario Logan movie is a really good and loving tribute to sml. Despite a few cringe worthy scenes, it's really entertaining and absolutely gorgeous to look at. This is probably significantly better than the cancelled super Mario Logan movie. There's passion and heart that was put into making this good and it wasn't rushed at all. AND maf actually got it made. Huge respect to him for working on this and everyone else. The actor who played Shrek and black yoshi were outstanding and deserve a lot of recognition. Seriously, they sound a LOT like the characters they are portraying. Go watch this, it deserves to be seen.

Mafdominus SML Movie strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia for long-time fans and a fresh, modern take on the beloved characters. Whether you're a fan of the SuperMarioLogan universe or just love a well-crafted coming-of-age story, this movie is a must-watch. Five stars without a doubt!
