One for the Ages

On the surface, Get The Girl is a standard romcom. It tells the tale of two lifelong friends, Diane and Calvin, who have always had each other backs. When Calvin begins showing feelings for Britney, a hottie at his work, he starts writing a love song for her. Diane helps but realizes it is SHE who has feelings for Calvin.

The girl who plays Britney is really hot. The song they write is better than most of Bono's lyrics. This script is airtight. Supporting performance from Kevin Patrick Flannery is spot on. Will this win an Oscar for best song? Yes. But it WILL go unnoticed at every other awards ceremony.
