..... You're a huge fan of those Godawful SYFY and Asylum movies (Mega shark v's this that and the other, 2 headed, 3 headed, 5 headed, 250 headed shark attack, Sand sharks, snow sharks, flying sharks, sharks with diarrhoea, shark Buellers day off etc etc)
Seriously, this film is woeful, awful acting, special effects that would look bad on a ZX Spectrum home computer, bad camera work and sound, lighting that jumps all over the place from way too bright to way too dark to see what's going on and a script that was obviously written in about an hour over a cup of coffee and a bowl of cornflakes.
If you have any morals when it comes to your movies and you don't spend every day sat in your living room smoking a large bong and fawning over how wonderful and gourmet like a bag of Cheeto's are, then stay away from this utter turkey of a film. If what I've just described is you, then you might actually like this mess.
Avoid!!!

Shark Virus, makes The Asylum films look Oscar worthy. I'm a fan of these bad films, but this is so bad I'm writing this review while I'm watching it. Its the first review I've written. That's how bad it is. It's just like watching a bad porn film without the sex. The acting is really laughable and the script, Wow. The special effects are the same as a 1990's video game, I kid you not. I can't believe they make money making films like this. Fair play what a way to earn a living.
Watched this movies with friends after we stopped watching the new american pie movie. Whe laughed way more watching virus shark. Not because the humor is good. But the acting is so bad and the special effects are so cheap it is just hilarious. Worth the watch if you have nothing to watch. Also the end is a bit confusing... let's say they put all the budget in apple computers and had to end the movie quick.
Whoever came up with this concept is utterly devoid of logic, and the final product reflects my sentiment. Did someone think a shark attack is not enough, now it must carry a virus as well?
If you do hate yourself so much to try to sit through this whole movie, you will be shaking your head and cutting your wrists at the abominable concept, horrid writing and acting, etc.
Painful, plain and simple. Then again, it might cure cancer.

Right, well with a movie bearing the title "Virus Shark" and having the synopsis it did, of course you know you are in for something bad. Something truly bad.
Horrible CGI sharks? Check.
Laughable plot and storyline? Check.
Wooden and rigid acting performances? Check.
Poor visual effects and sound effects? Check.
Yup, "Virus Shark" has it all. And then some...
And yeah, that is exactly what director Mark Polonia delivered. Any thankfully "Virus Shark" is one of those movies that are so utterly bad and laughable that it becomes fun to watch. Hence this movie actually ended up being a hilarious movie to sit through.
First of all, the storyline. Well, it was just idiotic, but still it proved fun enough to actually work as a plausible enough storyline, taking into consideration the type of movie that "Virus Shark" is.
Then there was the acting performances. Well, let's just be honest and say that the acting performances put on in "Virus Shark" were shoddy and dubious at best. But that was something that actually worked in favor of the movie. Since the acting was so horrible and wooden, it was actually fun to watch people stumble about trying to make a movie. And frankly, it looked like these actors and actresses were having a blast making this low budget B-movie. Especially the surviving lab technician whom wore such a stupid smirk each and every time after having delivered some gloriously rigid and scripted lines.
Now, "Virus Shark" - being a shark movie and all - of course had special effects in it. And boy, were these effects special. The CGI in "Virus Shark" were beyond horrible. And that was something that actually added charm to the movie. The visual effects and sound effects were so bad that I was having a blast and laughing a lot throughout the course of this movie. The CGI animated sharks looked like something from an early 1990s computer game, and then there were the toy sharks, well, they need nothing said about them...
And then there was all the times you could see shadows from the film crew or actually see reflections of the film crew on various screens and monitors that were placed around the set that was supposed to be an underwater research facility, but had the appearance of an apartment complex. It was just ridiculously bad.
It should be said that "Virus Shark" is a movie that you will either loathe given the low production value, the bad acting, the rubbish special effects and the toy sharks. Or it could be a movie that provides you with entertainment and becomes a glorious and fun thing to watch - as it turned out to be for me.
Grab the popcorn and lean back, prepare to be taken away on a grand special effects tour de force deep under the sea, where the frenzied SHVID-19 sharks wait to tear you apart or turn you into a zombie-like-creature-with-lousy-make-up.
It is amazing that movies like "Virus Shark" actually make it off of the idea table and onto the screen.
My rating of "Virus Shark" lands on a five out of ten stars. If you like low budget movies, then you definitely should check out Mark Polonia's "Virus Shark".
