She took the title of the series to a whole real level.. so proud to know and have a South African actor Casted to show her pure talent in this cut throat industry... I would like to also thank the directors and team for choosing the PERFECT LIONESS.
The writing is great and performances are amazing - especially Shannon Esra and Natasha Sutherland. The series is a time-hopping whodunnit set in contemporary South Africa. Really proud of this one.
I'm so snobby about what I watch, most especially South African shows, as a lot of the time, the production is shoddy. But this is really amazing. I got hooked so quickly. The acting is great, Its made well, the story line us captivating. I'm really proud of this South African show. Shows off our talent in this country when things are done right. Worth a watch!
I admit to getting hooked on the show, however, if anybody is looking for someone to write characters who have personality disorders, look up the writer for this series. Seriously, I found it difficult to find anyone in the cast of characters to feel sympathy for or to relate to. Later, in the first season, the eldest daughter Was one who -upon hearing more of her backstory- I did feel empathy... And sympathy towards. Also Liam.
The effects of the trauma upon the children, especially was exceptionally captured. Mom, while I felt and suspected all along her to have really been framed, was so obnoxious, selfish, and self-destructive I found myself almost hoping things would not go her way.
I have yet to finish the series - very close - hoping something will change that may alter my no doubt harsh sounding thoughts about the characteristics of most of the characters.
