The Demon's Waltz

Where to start. Acting was beyond bad. Girls were not remotely attractive and a couple need to remove their face hair. Filmed on a potato camera A cheep eBay camera from the early 2000s. Story could be fair if someone with a high school education rewrote it and reworked the whole thing. I love low budget horror movies and can get over bad acting most the time but this one was too over the top. The ages of the actors did not mesh with some of their fictional professions. They should have had their parents play the parts for adults, not just grab their friends that looked a bit older. Sometimes films do not deserve the low ratings they get, this one however deserves every 1 star it gets and anything over a 1 star is more than likely shill accounts by these girls mommies and daddies.

Yeah ok so, I have no idea why I'm going to watch this after only watching the trailer I can tell this is not going to be a good movie or experience. Alas, I suffer and leave honest reviews so you don't have to.

Acting, worse than a middle school play, yep not even high-school quality bad. Filming looks like it was shot on a 100 dollar still photo camera that just so happens to be able to record video too. All the actresses, I'm assuming there's only actresses, didn't see one male in the trailer, looks like a reject dance club that decided to make a movie for something different to do. Yeah, you get to suffer through pathetic, choreographed dancing too. Just all around bad. At least some bad movies have attractive bad actors and actresses so you at least get to look at some eye candy while suffering through the movie. Not this one, ugly movie, ugly cast.

I'd say skip it unless you're only other options are foreign films not in English with no CC options. Even then I'd say to succumb to watching this atrocity of a "movie" and just go find something else to do.

P. S. Ok so I'm only 16 mins in and this is so much worse than I expected. How this thing has a almost 2 hour runtime, I don't know if I can make it. So, there's a "PI" she looks like a senior in high school. Most PI's are older, trained ex or retired law enforcement. It's like they're trying to do some Nancy Drew mystery or something. Oh it's just so terrible and not believable what so ever.

For the most part this film suffers from poor editing, and somewhat uneven acting. The actors do a reasonable job, for being as unseasoned as they are. Unfortunately an interesting storyline is undercut by a lack of cohesion, and inelegant editing. This could have been a fun new horror trope with experienced actors, and a more clearly defined "mythology". I have seen several excellent horror films that relied on a good vs evil scaffold to support the conflict, but this film unfortunately struggled to earn the heavy handed ending, with little to no previous nods to judeo Christian mysticism/supernal gestures to make sense.

When I first came across this title in Amazon Prime, I immediately came right to IMDB. I saw all these 1 star reviews creating a poor impression of the film. Although the 1 stars were a bit of a turn off and might have influenced me to select another film, the title itself still seemed to have a hold on me. The Demon's Waltz. There's just something about the title that lets it catch you.

I took the time to watch the movie preview and was able to see that the filming itself was low budget similar to early Lion's Gate before Lion's Gate became a big player. If you can get pass the low budget filming, the movie itself actually has an awesome storyline that centers around a cursed dance and horrible things happening to the women who perform the dance.

If anyone out there is looking for an unknown horror film that would hold their attention from beginning to end, I would definitely suggest The Demon's Waltz. No big name actresses or actors. Just a low budget horror film that relies on good story telling despite the low budget film work.

The 1 star ratings the film has received were definitely not a fair rating, because The Demon's Waltz is so much more than a 1 star movie.

Those are the kind of movies that deserve a below 0 score, the acting is ridiculously bad, the way the movie is shot and everything else.

High school grade failed project. Sadly seems everyone can film and put out movies theses days.
