Builds up extreme amounts of hype

The animation being mediocre is one thing. But the soundtrack is amazing, the tension is out of this world and the character backstories are very interesting. The show reaches its peak in the last 4 episodes and it was an amazing ride till the end. Can't wait for the second season.

Why so low

If you came looking for a story driven intens plot liking anime this is not for you. If you just want to see people and gods knock the living hell out of eachother this is def the right anime for you. This season contains 3 big fights ( out of 13) and i enjoyed them all. There is humor in here and the drawing and fighting is on par with today's anime's. I think this Anime deserves a 7,5 but because it has such a low vieuwing im rounding it up to 8.

Good but some dumb characters

I think it's a fun watch, whole purpose is fun interesting fights. But I find it extremely dumb to choose characters like Nikolas Tesla and Jack the Ripper as the fighters/gladiators. They are not fighters or warriors to he interesting in a death match. There are so many other better options like Achilles, Alexander the great, Miyamoto Musashi etc. Other characters in the series were great.

This is kinda embarassing for Netflix....

I feel like netflix is trying to ruin the anime industry by taking good mangas and doing them dirty...Like they made such an average anime out of an amazing manga.... I had so many emotions reading the manga, but literally 0 emotions watching the anime...It felt so empty for some reason. Just go read the manga it s far better.

I didn't read the manga, but it's always the same with purists complaining. The anime is genuinely fun and super entertaining. Great pacing, awesome fights that stay exciting from start to finish, solid animation that keeps you hooked. Honestly, it delivers exactly what it promises and it's very much and litteraly underrated.
