A good heart warming christmas movie! I recommend it to everyone who likes Christmas movies. The actors are all good! I went to see it twice because I really liked it. Don't listen to the negative reviews, go and make your own opinion. This film is worth watching.
Boxing day
It has a nice and upbeat styling with a beautiful sprinkle of culture (black, British and American). The plot is stuffed and convoluted, this may help keep its pacing going steadily, but a deep look can reveal how thin the main plot is, and needing of more conflict. The characterization and cast is what elevates the movie; the perky and good-humoured performance the cast delivers is strong to carry the movie.
If I'm to judge from the original songs Leigh Anne Pinnock delivered, I'm really not excited for her solo era as a musician.

How can I describe this.
It's like watching a very long episode of Eastenders And I hate Eastenders.
The main character man has no charisma and it would make it almost impossible that two stunning women would fight over him.
Then goes all the cliche and a predictable ending.

As a UK Xmas RomCom Movie, I really wanted to enjoyed this movie, unfortunately I didn't.
It didn't feel festive, the characters made a lot of strange decisions which took me out of the moment and a lot of the jokes were off. I understood and appreciated what they were going for with a lot of them but many of them felt forced. This isn't due to the culture either as I completely relate to the likes of Blue Story and Kidulthood despite many wider audiences feeling that they sometimes appear 'over acted'.
Most of the romantic couples were lacking chemistry and there were some kid fight scenes which I genuinely couldn't tell if they were meant to come across as real or fake.
There were some good things about it though. At its heart it's a story about family. Notably breaking away from the pains and anchors caused by your immediate family when creating your own path. It also shines a light on a different type of UK Xmas celebrations and some of the challenges and stereotypes that certain groups have to fight within their own culture.
A good idea but poor execution. Ultimately it didn't feel like it was worth a trip to the cinema to see it.

This is a funny tale that does its job as a heart warming feel good film. It is a bit obvious at times and had some ridiculous coincidences but that doesn't distract from the film.
The best bit of the film though is the excellent choice in music along with some characters.
Well worth a watch for Xmas.
