Really excited to see this one. Captivating from the start with strong acting, especially from Valter Skarsgård & Alva Bratt.
I watched the first episode and found the story interesting and the acting convincing.
But the camera work is so messy and claustrophobic that it gave me motion sickness and the end of the episode almost warrants a seizure warning.
Will not continue to watch this, the plot is simply not worth the annoying, messy and chaotic production.

The story and directing is terrible. The dialogue is embarrasing. Some of the acting is decent.
Unfortunately, Elite is a riot of Spanishness with glamorous frocks for the girls and snazzy clothes for the guys. This series, being Swedish, is far more restrained and it misses out for that.
Yes, we have intermingling stories, as in Elite, of poor kids and rich kids but they aren't at the same school, but in different schools across the river from each other. There's a murder too and the same closing of ranks with the poor kids getting blamed.
The storylines are as absurd and holes in the plot as enormous as those in the Spanish series. This was less fun though.
Season Two is coming everyone! This first season ended on a cliffhanger.

This show just gets better for each episode. The young actors have natural dialogue which I can actually relate to without getting the feeling that some 50+ year old man has written it.
The camerawork seems to be a common complaint; I agree that it could use an epilectic warning, and there's way too many close shots which make you a bit nauseous. Hopefully this improves for season 2.
