Based loosely on the case of the kidnapping of Jakob von Metzler. In ensuing interrogation of suspect Magnus Gäfgen the police commissioner Wolfgang Daschner allowed the use of psychological pressure. Daschner later had to stand up in court for that decision (Daschner-Prozess).
