I don't know how they did it, but this serial stayed exciting week after week! I watched from day one to the last episode when Parvati passed the torch (diya) to the next generation (tujh sang preet lagai sajna?). From impossible things to social issues, Kahaani gave us all of it! And Sakshi was the best thing ever to this serial. I just loved her, in every avatar she had in this. Now we're 19 years further and I haven't come across any series this interesting... Balaji, please come back with content, actors and story lines this good.lt has good content backed with brilliant performances by characters of Krishna Aggarwal, Parvati Bhabhi, Shruthi and a few more.

The show explored the worlds of Parvati and Om Agarwal, living in a Marwadi joint family where Parvati is an ideal daughter-in-law of Agarwal family and Om the ideal son. The show is the story of the sons of Vishwanath Agarwal and their children thereof.

The show is based mostly on their life and struggles in a joint family. The story, spread over three generations, focuses majorly on Parvati and her struggles as the ideal wife and daughter-in-law, mother and grandmother and depicts how sometimes one must stand against her loved ones to do what is morally right.

In the Year 2004, after the first generational leap of 20 years the TRP of the show shoot as high as 18+ that was a feat achieved by none other show before except Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (which had a record of generating a TRPof 22+) In the same year during the rape hearing scene the TRPs of the show shoot the highest making it top show continuously for several weeks on the ratings charts. But now indian serials are totally disgusting without story.

The era when serials title songs are much better than today's bollywood music. It's not just a serial, it's our childhood memories.missing these serial's...can't describe...i can remember my childhood day's. It's an emotion Golden era of Balaji telefilms & childhood life. Take me back to these days, where just attachment with these serials,not with fake people. I remembered my old childhood days I watched this serial in my old crt color tv with my family what days it were I really miss those days. I love the show And misss my childhood sooo much Om & parvati agarwal And unki beti shruti. While watching this serials I was not bored...... Wt a days...... Miss them.

This show, for me is extremely nostalgic. It portrays most of the social issues that are being practiced in our society and provides a moral after every story plot. In addition, the show is full of humor and happiness. I would give it 10/10 since it's flawless. It also portrays a joint family, some members very greedy, some being extremely innocent, some being very sarcastic and some being very smart and intelligent. The show portrays all the harsh truths of life - from birth to death, each and every moment is perfectly shown in this serial. Plus, it's family friendly, and always fun to watch.

This was one brilliant of a show I have seen in my life Actors did an amazing job in portraying their characters that sometimes I forgot hey were acting. Its special because of its team. Be it the director, editor, screenplay, cinematography and of course the cast!! (heart and soul of the show) everyone is simply superb.

This show has redefined the perception of a daily serial. It is intense and fast paced. I want season 2. One of the best serials I've watched. It was not dragged even one bit. I loved this show. It is very much interesting and I feel like I was watching a movie, literally serial sets is awesome I liked it, also credit goes stylish costume designers. No one else can beat Sakshi tanwar and kiran karmar best Jodi ever.
