I can relate a lot to this show, i think the acting by amy diasidmont is very true to real life, i found myself reliving moments and truly feeling what sigge is feeling. I am not a movie critic, but this is better than most teen dramas ive seen. No unrealistic moments or dialouge, unlike things popular right now. It is very impressive how realistic the screenplay is, this is what happens when you grow up in sweden. Family life, love life and school. Twists and turns in friendships. If you think this is bad then you should watch other swedish shows and films. One is really bad- "Heder" on viaplay, truly horrible storyline and acting. So try hard. I understand that this isbt the best show ever created, but it certainly smashes alot of its competitors. The acting is really good as well, the actors are very accomplished in the swedish tv world, for example alexander abdallah, who recently hit the billboards with "snabba cash" wich we all know and love.
So many can relate to this show! Love how so many important tropics are addressed.
I ended up seeing this show by "accident" and boy am I glad I did - binged it in one night. Very good and heartfelt acting (I am not a cryer but I cried). Being Swedish I can sometimes feel that the dialogue becomes very theatrical but not here. Every emotion, good and bad, hit me right through the screen and I will be on the look out for a second season!
It took a few episodes for me to like it as much as I did. But it really is a very good series. It covers an important topic- a narcissistic and manipulative parent. Very refreshing to see. There is so many series out there about love and sex but this topic is very much needed today. And the acting really felt genuine and real, not like other series where you can feel that the actor has´nt experienced the emotions in real life that they are trying to express in front of the camera. But Amy as "Sigge" is doing an amazing acting and portraying of these emotions. And it feels like she is herself, like she is in real life. I am longing for the next season.
I was immediatly drawn in by the story and stayed glued in front of the TV until the very last scene.
The story reflects in a truthful and captivating way what it's like to be almost an adult trying to have relationships in Stockholm.
The charachters Sigrid & Sam are consistently failing to act out their emotions towards each other. Realistically they mirror being stuck in the greyzone of the denying and somewhat cold approach you are expected to have towards love and relations at this age. Where nothing can ever be outspoken or real and everyone pretends is completely normal. Sigrid trying to follow these conflicting and unspoken relationships laws are making one destructive choice after another, and hurting others as well as herself along the way.
The characters are authentic and loveable. I feel for all of them and really want to know what they be up to next.
I'm hoping for another season and am looking forward to more creations and acting from Amy Deasismont in the future.
