Arnold Arre initially wanted a live-action video, full of intensive special effects and green-screen shots. The original storyboard featured a post-apocalyptic vision of Manila complete with flying jeepneys and hologram images. While the project was in progress, the director was experimenting with animation. With the favorable feedback of his short animated video, Andong Agimat, he decided to go with that medium for the Rock Ed video instead.
