Just decent

This 10 episode OVA series is a the sequel to the "The Irresponsible Captain Tylor" 1993 tv anime. It has the same characters but the artwork and the animation are different.

This is a decent, probably ok anime.

The biggest flaw is that this is an anime about Captain Tylor but the Main character is downgraded to a supportive role. Only in one episode he is the protagonist. Most of the episodes the other characters are the main characters with and even when he is present he mostly sits doing nothing important.

The main tv anime series is about Taylor. He is the main character and almost all episodes are about him and his morals and leadership.

This OVA is only in name about him.

So your interest for the story sometimes is thin, mostly because the protagonist you love and care about is nowhere to be found.
