A well made film told in a different way.

By no means is this the greatest Horror film. I gave it a 10 because I thought it was a well made and original film. I was thinking before I watched Livestock that it was going to be another Low budget gore fest which is okay by me but I was so happy it wasn't. I mean I love those type of films but that's what every low budget Horror film seems to be these days. No Livestock isn't that. All though it has some nice gore. Livestock is a well made dark drama. It reminds me of a lot of older Horror films with the pacing and the way the build up is. I was really impressed with the main character Victor, he reminded me of a young Al Pacino. Also the character Annabel did a great job at one point she looked so scared that I felt for her. Livestock is definitely a different type of film. It's about a cult but they're not the cult like all those great occult films from the 70's. They're more like modern day gangsters, which is an idea I loved. All in all Livestock gives something different and I appreciate that. There is one scene in a creepy room which looks so cool it seemed so surreal to me. I loved it. Livestock has good acting, it's shot well, it's got a new take on gangsters and the direction was very good. After seeing this film I really look forward to what this director does next. I think this is a really enjoyable film if you give it a chance.

    A surprise film

I was very surprised at how good this low budget film was. The first scene was brilliant. Actors where very professional. I thought the plot was very good. It kept my attention through the whole movie. The film opens up with amazing art work that captures your attention and helps bring you in to the world of these characters. The film plays as two parts. It starts off almost as a mob film. Then turns into a gritty fantasy with strange colors and other bizarre things that I don't want to give away. I thought the direction was great. The acting to the editing and the music was all very professional. I really loved the music in this film it is not your typical horror film score. One thing I would like to point out is I feel that Livestock is more of a dark drama then you typical horror film. It is definitely a horror film but to me it plays more like a dark drama and uses horror as the back drop for the story. Over all I thought Livestock was very interesting ( I mean that in a good way) and captivating. I highly recommend the film. If you want to see something new.
