    An epic performance!

This might be one of the most "star-filled" productions in Swedish child-tv history!

The took the American "Sesame Street", and built a complete second story.

The story of "Galateatern", (or; "The Premiere Theater) was the main red line, and then different Sesame clips was put in between the scenes!

The story was of an old theater that was going kind of downward... and the everyday life of the people that lived there!

It held some of that times, biggest acting names, and was incredibly popular!

The production was made by Swedish Television.

A lot of singing and music was included, with lively characters and humor, that spoke to both kids and grownups!

And in my opinion, it would work today as well!

My rating of 10 points is well earned!

    • Trivia
This is the second of three Swedish versions of 1, rue Sésame (1969). The other two, simply named Sesam, feature content from the original show only, dubbed in Swedish (so-called Open Sesame productions). They were originally broadcast in 1975-1976 and 1996-1998 and consist of 26 and 30 half-hour episodes respectively.

Ernst Günther and Gösta Prüzelius voiced the Cookie Monster and Grover in all three versions, while Lars Amble voiced Kermit the Frog in the first two. In the first version Ernie and Bert were voiced by Björn Gustafson and Carl Billquist, while they were voiced by Magnus Ehrner and Steve Kratz in the third.
