"The Slumber Party", I thought this episode was quite funny because it actually had a lot of nice callbacks to previous episodes. There's a joke repeated from "No Weenies Allowed" about a disguised person that looks just like SpongeBob. We get a joke from "Can You Spare A Dime?" about being allergic to newsprint. That actually does continue for the rest of the episode. I thought most of the jokes really worked in this particularly with how SpongeBob absorbed all the root beer. It even has kind of a sincere ending. ***1/2

"Grooming Gary", this one was at least passable. It features SpongeBob prepping up Gary for a pet contest. I admit that it's quite funny to see Gary suddenly grow arms and go crazy like that. It was nice how the guy asked if anyone could speak snail. That really does make me wonder how SpongeBob is able to understand Gary. I admit it does seem like it's trying to be like an extremist animal rights group which I never supported. ***
