Watermelon: A Cautionary Tale

Imagination, great drawings, beautiful music, old/ familiar habit and the confrontation of a boy with a watermelon. Seductive development of story and a lot of adventures as result of greed / ignore of the advice of mother. Short, educational, seductive and a real creepy end.

This animated short film follows a boy whose mother warns him not to eat watermelon without removing the seeds-but, of course, he does it anyway.

That night, the seeds begin to grow in his stomach, and he quickly regrets ignoring her advice. But things don't stop there. What follows is a chaotic adventure that ends up involving several others, including the boy's teachers.

In the end, there's a plot twist-and the best part is that it's not predictable. It actually managed to surprise me.

As for the animation quality, it's pretty decent, with a modern, 3D-like style. Some elements are well-animated-like the boy's hair-but I was a bit surprised that the watermelon wasn't more detailed, especially considering how central it is to the story.
