Marvel Studios has officially announced the current cast lineup for their next crossover event, Avengers: Doomsday, and there were indeed surprises!
Apart from MCU veterans returning to the table, like Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Paul Rudd, the lineup also consisted of stars from the latest MCU entries, such as Captain America: Brave New World, the upcoming Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: The First Steps.
But importantly, the roster featured several cast members from Fox’s X-Men series, including Patrick Stewart (his second MCU appearance after Doctor Strange 2), Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Alan Cumming and Rebecca Romijn. Additionally, Channing Tatum will appear as Gambit, giving another redemption for his once-scrapped outing.
While it is overwhelming to glance at the packed roster of Avengers (any sense of hype notwithstanding) and speculate the plot behind Doomsday, it is also another matter when noticing some absences from the lineup, especially when...

Despite unveiling a massive cast for Avengers: Doomsday filled with some big names from across the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four rosters, some glaring omissions hint that Marvel Studios might have listened to a loud segment of its audiences and are making the same mistake that Lucasfilm did with Star Wars. For five hours, Marvel fans worldwide tuned into a live stream where a series of chairs were revealed, and a cast member for the highly anticipated Avengers movie was announced. As absurd as it may sound, fans waited to see what name would be confirmed.
Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart reprising their roles from the X-Men film series were just a few big headlines. Some significant names were missing, like Tom Holland's Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, and Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. Still, it was the absence of names like Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel,...

Director Danny DeVito’s 1989 BAFTA-nominated film The War of the Roses is being revived with a new cast and a new film from Searchlight called The Roses. Oscar-winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite) and BAFTA and Emmy winner Benedict Cumberbatch are set to star in The Roses, which, per Variety, has an official release date of Aug. 29.
Billed as a dark comedy-drama, The Roses is being directed by Jay Roach, who directed the Austin Powers trilogy, Meet the Parents, and Dinner for Schmucks. Tony McNamara wrote the script, which is based on DeVito’s The War of the Roses, which in turn was based on the 1981 Warren Adler novel of the same name.
A Picture-Perfect Couple
The specialty banner for The Roses describes the movie as follows: “Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Ivy (Colman) and Theo (Cumberbatch) successful careers, a loving marriage, great kids. But beneath the facade of their supposed ideal life,...

Spoilers for "Daredevil: Born Again" follow.
Episode 5 of Marvel Studios' "Daredevil: Born Again" is set on St. Patrick's Day; it opens with a quick-cut montage of New York City bustling with green spirit, set to a cover of "The Rocky Road to Dublin." The episode's March 25 premiere date missed the actual holiday by a week, but it still gives Marvel fans a lovely gift. The episode takes a break from Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) to focus only on Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who doesn't need his Daredevil costume to fight crime.
A quick recap: Matt is at a bank, seeking a loan for his firm Murdock & McDuffie. He leaves empty-handed, but when he's not even a block down the road, an Irish bank robber named Devlin (Cillian O'Sullivan) and his crew break in, wielding colored masks and assault rifles. They're using the holiday as cover for their heist; on St.

At this point in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it often feels as if every actor known to man has worked on the franchise. Though that may not actually be true, the sheer amount of well-known faces who have shown up in, or at least offered their voice to, either an MCU movie or TV show (if not both) is pretty mammoth, extending across ages and generations. And while there are still a few notable standouts among the biggest film stars in the world, many big names pop up in even small parts.
As an example, consider one of the biggest action stars of the 1980s: Sylvester Stallone. The multi-hyphenate made himself into an icon through a few different franchises, most notably the "Rambo" and "Rocky" properties, the latter of which began with a film he wrote and starred in (and which eventually took home a Best Picture...

Samuel L. Jackson first played Nick Fury in 2008's Iron Man, showing up for a surprise post-credits scene that set the stage for The Avengers to follow in 2012. The legendary actor has since become an MCU mainstay, appearing in countless film and television projects for Marvel Studios.
Recent years haven't delivered the best Nick Fury stories, though Jackson remains at the top of his game. Avengers: Doomsday seems to be the likely next destination for the screen icon, though only time will tell how much longer he will continue playing the former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director.
Talking to Vanity Fair to mark Bruce Willis' 70th birthday, Jackson revealed the advice his Unbreakable and Glass co-star gave him shortly after they shared the screen in Die Hard With a Vengeance.

Ever since Secret Invasion first dropped, the show has made a lot of controversial choices. All in all, what was left when the show was wrapped up was a steaming hotchpotch of plot threads that could have easily been a Saga of its own in the MCU. Why Secret Invasion would be a show and not something like The Infinity Saga is beyond understanding, but the show itself also left much to be desired.

While there was a section of the fandom that wished that the show was written out of canon or ignored like the wider MCU does to The Inhumans and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil: Born Again brings some sad news. Not only is Secret Invasion not something that is going to be swept under the rug, but all the events that occurred in it were canon.

During Disney's annual shareholder meeting, CEO Bob Iger shared a very interesting take on the role of AI in entertainment. Although the use of AI is normally viewed as the equivalent to the ultimate sin in show business, Iger believes that there's a place for it. "AI may, in fact, be the most powerful technology that our company has ever seen," he said. While Disney will likely embrace the controversial technology, Iger also assures that artists will be "respected."
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Iger confirmed that AI is being used inside Disney, but in a very cautious manner. He didn't address generative AI specifically, and instead said that the technology is "enabling our company to be more efficient." He added that they're only "beginning to deploy it" for services regarding consumer interaction.

House of David is Prime Video's new take on a biblical epic, focusing on the rise of David and set in Israel during 1000 BC. The series has not necessarily been met with widespread acclaim, as critics have been mixed on it. However, audiences have latched onto the new Amazon series, garnering it 22 million viewers in its first 17 days. It's been a hit for the streamer, but a startling revelation made by fans during the latest episode may put some people off from the hit series.
In the opening moments of the sixth episode of the first season of House of David, a pretty extensive origin sequence for Goliath is revealed. It depicts a giant man with large wings meeting a woman. The scale is unlike anything the show has leaned into before, even for a Prime Video production. The creator behind the show, Jon Erwin, has confirmed that AI was...

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again.
Daredevil: Born Again might have raised a question with its latest episode that not only proves what a brilliant piece of Marvel content it is, but also gives one of Marvel’s worst offerings a shot at redemption. When Matthew Murdock goes to visit his client in the episode, the character floats around the idea of a Skrull having committed the crime rather than he himself. while Matt shoots it down, it begs a question that could allow the MCU to revisit Secret Invasion in a more nuanced and mature manner, akin to the pacing and vibes of Daredevil: Born Again.

Samuel L. Jackson is crediting Bruce Willis for inspiring him to join a film franchise.
Jackson, who co-starred with Willis in “Pulp Fiction,” “Die Hard With a Vengeance,” “Unbreakable,” and “Glass,” said that his longtime collaborator gave him some of the best career advice. “He told me, ‘Hopefully you’ll be able to find a character that, when you make bad movies and they don’t make any money, you can always go back to this character everybody loves,’” Jackson recalled to Vanity Fair in honor of Willis’ 70th birthday.
While on the “Die Hard With a Vengeance” set Willis gave Jackson some examples too: “He said, ‘Arnold’s got ‘Terminator.’ Sylvester’s got Rocky and Rambo. I’ve got John McClane.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, Ok.’ And it didn’t occur to me until I got that Nick Fury role — and I had a nine-picture deal to be Nick Fury — that,...

Samuel L. Jackson marked the 70th birthday of his “Die Hard With a Vengeance” co-star Bruce Willis by sharing to Vanity Fair the piece of career advice that Willis gave him, which ended up proving beyond fruitful. The two actors first starred together in the third “Die Hard” movie, which was released in 1995 and grossed $366 million worldwide to become the top grosser of the year and the franchise’s biggest hit at the time. They’d go on to work together again in M. Night Shyamalan’s “Unbreakable” and “Glass.”

Warning: This article contains major spoilers for the latest episode of "Daredevil: Born Again."
If there was still any remaining doubt over whether "Daredevil: Born Again" takes place within the familiar confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, well, there shouldn't be. There's the main title, after all, which alludes to both a popular comic book series run and the fact that the Netflix series has been "reborn" into the rest of the MCU. Of course, the first two episodes also included multiple references to the overall franchise that established a shared continuity with Marvel characters such as Joe Bernthal's Punisher (duh), Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Chris Evans' Steve Rogers. Now, however, the series has gone even further by directly addressing one of the more forgotten aspects of the wider universe -- and it involves, by far, the worst Disney+ series we've had the misfortune of watching.

Netflix's Daredevil was developed by a version of Marvel Television with little to no real connections to the MCU. Kevin Feige could only really veto the use of certain characters Marvel Studios had plans for in the movies and Jeph Loeb largely worked under the purview of former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaac Perlmutter.
After Netflix cancelled its slate of Defenders TV shows, Marvel Studios was forced to wait for two years before being allowed to utilise those characters. That led to a cameo appearance from the Kingpin in Hawkeye and a surprise return for Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The latter would go on to deliver a fun supporting turn in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, while both Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio appeared in Echo. Original plans called for Daredevil: Born Again to be completely separate from Daredevil, though the "creative overhaul" we've heard so...

We're all enjoying the era of Daredevil: Born Again very much. The Disney Plus series has welcomed us back into the arms of the characters of the beloved Netflix show that premiered on screens back in 2015, but it has also firmly established its existence within the Marvel Cinematic Universe - something that the original series could only loosely reference.
With that, we have already had a reference to Spider-Man, one of the McU's most beloved heroes, as the Kingin referenced a man in a spider outfit. It was a major moment, particularly as it confirmed that the sequel series - and, by extension, its predecessor - exists in the MCU continuity. And it's particularly game-changing when the Spider-Man reference was made in the same sentence as The Punisher reference, tying an MCU character and a Netflix Marvel character together in a way that made fans very, very happy.

Marvel Studios' original plan was for Daredevil: Born Again to be completely separate from Netflix's Daredevil. That meant killing Foggy Nelson off-screen, no Karen Page, and a new Vanessa Fisk in House of Cards star Sandrine Holt.
We still don't know why Ayelet Zurer would be recast and can only assume it was because Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were the only original actors wanted for the revival.
Talking to TV Line about her return - which came as a result of Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul - Zurer said, "I never really quite understood why they made that decision to not keep not just me but more almost all the actors but Vincent and Charlie. But I can say that when they did change the creative and decided to go back to the original cast, I was very, very happy to join."

Marvel's Captain America: Brave New World reaches another milestone as it leaves behind another three MCU solo movies at the domestic box office, but it still may not be enough for Sam Wilson's Phase 5 movie to be considered a success. Captain America: Brave New World opened Marvel Studios' 2025 live-action slate with a few key MCU events, including the announcement of adamantium and President Ross' public transformation into Red Hulk. Despite its spectacular premise, however, Captain America: Brave New World has struggled to make significant progress at the box office, though it slowly crosses new landmarks one month after its theatrical release.
As of March 17, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World has earned $185,396,912 domestically (via Box Office Mojo), officially surpassing Ant-Man's $180.2 million, Thor's $181 million, and Black Widow's $183.6 million. Internationally, Captain America: Brave New World's $203.2 million is still a long way from Thor's $268.2 million and Ant-Man's $339.1 million, however.

At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios shocked the world by announcing that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the MCU as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
The actor was one of Marvel Studios' biggest box office draws as Iron Man, and with the franchise struggling since Avengers: Endgame's release in 2019, those movies could do with all the help they can get.

Pictures have finally launched the full-length official trailer for Joseph Kosinski's F1, the upcoming summer action blockbuster starring 2x Academy Award-winner Brad Pitt (Fight Club; Bullet Train; Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood) as Sonny Hayes, "the greatest that never was."
Speaking with reporters at the trailer launch, the Top Gun: Maverick director teased what we can expect from his next high octane thriller, "Watching Brad drive around at speeds over 180 miles an hour was really impressive to see because it's not something you can just learn overnight. The dedication and the focus that Brad put into this process has been amazing to witness. This film has got it all: Brad Pitt, speed, thrills, an epic underdog story, drama, humor, and a little bit of romance."
As per the synopsis, the film follows Hayes, "Formula 1's most promising phenom of the 1990s...

Though Marvel Studios movies and Disney+ shows have used the titles in some cases, no MCU project has ever directly adapted the comic book run it was loosely based on.
We didn't expect this to change for the next Avengers films, but Joe and Anthony Russo have now confirmed that Doomsday and Secret Wars won't completely disregard the source material.
During a new interview with Tech Radar, the Russo Brothers revealed that they will "draw inspiration" from both the first Jim Shooter-written Secret Wars that was published in 1984, and the Jonathan Hickman-penned version that was released in 2015.
"Well, we always create our own version of the story," said Joe when I asked if they'd be looking to one comic run over the other. "So, we use the comics as loose inspiration."
"But, you know, I grew up on the original run," he added. "That's something that got me into Marvel comic books.

Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk was one of the most-anticipated shows of 2022. Revolving around Jennifer Walters, the show follows her court-battles representing superhuman cases, while dealing with her own challenges as the She-Hulk.

Now, most Marvel series have been underwhelming for the past few years. Similarly, when the show aired, it seemed to be following the same disastrous recipe Marvel has been cooking with for some time according to the majority of fans.
Some, though, maintained that She-Hulk seemed to be a better show among the unfortunate series of disastrous shows MCU has been producing. In any case, the debate is heating up the fan circles again after an intriguing poll divided the fandom in two factions.

Marvel Studios has had plenty of wins and losses since entering the streaming game on Disney+, and one executive has some thoughts.
While the MCU faced criticism for Secret Invasion and She-Hulk, it has also had some major successes on Disney+ such as Loki, Moon Knight, and, based on early reviews, Daredevil: Born Again appears set for success.

One of the biggest wins for the MCU is its star-studded cast. Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Iron Man was one of the reasons why the cinematic universe had a solid start. After more than a decade in the role, it became almost impossible to separate the actor from the character. Chris Evans as Captain America was similarly another perfect choice.

Evans brought heart and heroism to Steve Rogers and it made him irreplaceable in the character. The MCU has made plenty of other brilliant casting decisions, with some actors proving that they were born to play their Marvel character. Here are five of the greatest casting choices in the MCU besides Downey Jr. and Evans.

Daredevil: Born Again premiered its first two episodes on Disney+ on Mar. 4, 2025, and it seemingly is a big hit with critics and audiences. Many are already calling it the best Marvel Disney+ series. Since it seems impossible to raise something up without tearing another title down, this has led a few individuals to use this moment to bring down She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, one of the last time audiences saw Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the MCU.
Despite She-Hulk getting positive reviews from critics and its own passionate fanbase, it was also the target of an online hate campaign before the series debuted that got it saddled with the perception of being the most divisive MCU title ever, though it is hard to be worse than Iron Fist or Secret Invasion.

Daredevil: Born Again is the latest television series to hit Disney+ from Marvel Studios, and arguably the most anticipated. So far, the buzz surrounding the series has been positive as it aims to match the same level of quality the Netflix series reached years prior. Daredevil: Born Again features the return of Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, who recently appeared in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo. Now, the Man Without Fear will finally get his own spotlight within the MCU in the forthcoming nine-episode season, which already has Season 2 filming.
Daredevil: Born Again notably bears the same title as the 1986 story arc written by Frank Miller and drawn by David Mazzucchelli.

The review embargo for Daredevil: Born Again lifted last night just as the first two episodes hit Disney+. A late embargo isn't always a great sign, but the full season has received a mostly positive response from critics.
We realize a lot (most?) of you don't pay much attention to reviews, but it is interesting to see how the overall verdict on Born Again compares to the Netflix show and its Disney+ predecessors.
Based on 62 reviews, Born Again is currently "Certified Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes with an impressive 84%. This puts the adult-orientated revival above the second season of the original Netflix series (81%), but below seasons 1 (99%) and 2 (97%).
As for the previous Disney+ MCU shows, Born Again is higher than the only "Rotten" project in the bunch (Secret Invasion), Echo (70%) and Loki season 2, and tied with Agatha All Along.
Loki season 1 (92%)
Loki season 2 (82%)

There are many familiar faces returning to Hell's Kitchen in "Daredevil: Born Again." Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Jon Bernthal are all heading back to where it all began for more wince-inducing comic book action that we've come to expect from this particular corner of the MCU, which doesn't pull its punches and breaks plenty of bones while doing so. Besides the major players once again entangled in the affairs of the Man Without Fear, there are also some newcomers. Sneaking into the world of kings and devils is Daniel Blake, a supporter of Wilson Fisk (D'Onofrio) who's aiding the former convict's campaign for Mayor of New York. But who is this young upstart who believes the former kingpin has what it takes? Well, if anyone in the cast is familiar with the concept of maintaining a front while engaging in criminal activity, it's Michael Gandolfini.

This review pertains to the entire first season of Daredevil: Born Again.
This is exactly what Disney should have been doing with its streaming service from the beginning. The choice to flood Disney+ with series like Agatha All Along and Secret Invasion only worked to damage the MCU’s already struggling reputation. Charlie Cox’s iteration of The Man Without Fear was met with universal praise during its three season run on Netflix, and Disney’s choice to keep Cox in that role was a smart one. Born Again is undeniably different from its predecessor, but maintains enough of what made that series great to feel like a welcomed return.

As an MCU fan, one can't help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia to see a brief reunion of the men who brought Tony Stark and Nick Fury to life. It's hard to believe that the Marvel Cinematic Universe got its start 17 years ago when Iron Man opened on May 2, 2008, and Fury had a surprise cameo during the end credits to set up The Avengers. Both actors were part of the birth of the MCU nearly two decades ago, and both played a pivotal role in the shaping of the universe.

Is MCU going to follow the DC route and reboot its whole universe? ( Photo Credit – YouTube; Facebook )
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been an industry-defining franchise for over 15 years, delivering storytelling that has reshaped modern filmmaking. However, in recent years, fan enthusiasm has cooled down. With projects like Secret Invasion and The Marvels underperforming, and Captain America: Brave New World struggling to generate hype, many believe the franchise is in dire need of a reset.
The upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars is viewed as a potential turning point. Fans speculate that it could serve as a soft reboot, streamlining continuity, recasting major roles, and allowing Marvel Studios to start fresh. Given that the Secret Wars storyline in the comics has previously reset Marvel’s universe, speculation has only intensified. Now, Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum has addressed these rumors, offering insight into whether the MCU will truly start over after this multiversal event.

Captain America: Brave New World might be nearing a $300 million global box office collection, however, it is considered a disaster. Fans should note that the budget of the film is $180 million and the film still has to make it past roughly $350 million to break even.
The film received mixed reviews from viewers, who weren’t convinced of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the next Captain America after Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Fans were divided on the film’s political commentary, story, and characterization. However, Harrison Ford’s performance as the Red Hulk received praise.

In 2019 Disney released Captain Marvel, to mixed reviews by critics and audiences. Starring Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, and Ben Mendelsohn, the film followed the story of Captain Marvel Aka: Carol Danvers, an elite Kree with superpowers due to her exposure to the Tesseract (which if we recall contained one of the Infinity Stones; the Space Stone).
As it turned out, Carol was actually a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, whose plane "Avenger" later inspired our iconic superhero team name; Avengers. But this isn't just Carol's origin story.

For Marvel Studios, the past few years have been a period of evolution. Known for its game-changing Marvel Cinematic Universe, the studio brought its multi-billion dollar franchise to the small screen, expanding the world of the MCU via the arrival of multiple TV shows and standalone specials all produced for the Disney Plus streaming service. With the Infinity Saga now closed after the record-breaking finale that was Avengers: Endgame, it was time for the franchise to find new challenges that could reach new audiences.
For the most part, the TV shows have been a success, starting off on a high with WandaVision and producing thrill-rides like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Moon Knight and Agatha All Along. But the Multiverse Saga as a whole has had highs and lows, resulting in the studio rethinking some of the ideas it had planned for both the big and small screens.

There are no bigger cinematic titans than The Avengers. Marvel's group of mighty heroes first assembled on the silver screen back in 2012 and achieved instant box office success, setting the stage for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's ascension to the box office champion that it is now. The heights would only get higher after that.
But The Avengers are also the sum of their parts, for the legendary team is crafted out of some of the most powerful, effective, and iconic superheroes to ever grace the pages of Marvel Comics. We saw that on-screen when the MCU kicked off with standalone films like Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, showing us what just some of those heroes were capable of on their own. Putting them together meant that success was inevitable.

How well a movie performs at the box office is just as often a function of how well it's marketed as how well it's made. The current number 1 movie on Netflix in the U.S. is a perfect example of this. The marketing of any movie begins with the title. And, wow, did they ever miss on this one.
The movie in question is To Catch a Killer, a solid suspense film released in 2023. It came out on April 21st and almost immediately disappeared from movie screens everywhere. In case you forgot, this was the year of BarbenHeimer. Barbie grossed $1.45 billion, while Oppenheimer took in $976 million. Oh, and The Super Mario Bros. Netflix is very quickly becoming the home of previous years’ box office disasters, and to prove a point, 2023’s crime thriller To Catch a Killer starring Shailene Woodley and Ben Mendelsohn is sitting at the top of the streamer’s movie chart. While the film is underrated by some, there is no way to deny that it was a complete flop at the box office, taking just $3.1 million at the box office on its initial release.

Marvel has seen mixed results when it comes to its TV offerings in the MCU on Disney+. Although Loki was a hit with critics and audiences alike, other shows like Secret Invasion failed to stick the landing. Daredevil: Born Again already seems it could be a major win for the streaming service, but the studio is taking more measures to limit potential risks. A new report claims that Marvel Studios has decided to stop development on some of its most long-awaited projects, including the Nova series.
Deadline reports that Marvel has decided to indefinitely shelve three upcoming television projects — Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. While sources tell the trade outlet that the shows were not actually greenlit (and could still happen), they also hear that the major change in the upcoming slate comes as a result of a change in philosophy when it comes to the TV side of the MCU.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has already introduced audiences to the depths of J.R.R. Tolkien's work. While it is far from a perfect adaptation of The Silmarillion, it has certainly ushered in a greater understanding of many of its prominent characters. Galadriel, Sauron, and other groups of Hobbits have each had greater exposure than any previous movie afforded them. Peter Jackson's focus on the Third Age meant that the Second Age was, understandably, left to the realm of myth, memory, and legend.
Considering that much of Tolkien's work focused on the Third Age, it was a natural decision to adapt that era for the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movie series.

It should have been the film that geared us up for McU-mania going into 2025 and leading up to Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Warsin 2027 and 2028, as Winter Soldier did for Captain America: Civil War before Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, but instead, Brave New World has felt like a stalled start. Whilst it feels like every MCU project now gets the same slogan of having shades of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, like Secret Invasion, it really feels like Captain America: Brave New World tried to make this statement true. It included numerous elements similar to Winter Soldier, and the trailers promised us a grounded political thriller that would have a far-reaching impact on the wider MCU.

2021 was a big year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as after a year-long delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the franchise came roaring back with a slew of new entries. Phase 4 of the MCU did not begin with a film, but the McU's first proper foray into television series with WandaVision, which, unlike previous series like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, or The Runaways, promised to connect to the MCU films more. While series like Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye shortly followed, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier might have been the biggest.

Captain America Brave New World has arrived, bringing to the MCU the first live-action portrayal of Red Hulk. The film will see the various nations of Earth battle over a brand new resource - Adamantium.
The film has also teased the rebirth of The Avengers, the former team of Earth's mightiest heroes led by the previous Captain America, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Whilst it's expected that Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson will eventually take leadership of the team, it seems there’s one member that won’t be added to his roster- a Young Avenger left out of the final cut of the film, as revealed by Screen Rant in an interview with ex-Marvel VP Nate Moore.
