The third season of Taylor Sheridan's mob drama Tulsa King is expanding its cast with new additions. Just a couple of days ago, we learned the series would be returning for a third season, and now we're learning about two actors who will join the Sylvester Stallone-led series. Robert Patrick(of Terminator 2: Judgment Day fame) and Beau Knapp have joined the series in villainous roles (via Deadline), so we can expect a face off against Stallone's Dwight "The General" Manfredi.

Tulsa King, created by Sheridan, stars the Rocky and Rambo actor as Manfredi, a New York mafia capo exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a prison release, to build a criminal empire. The show, which streams on Paramount+, premiered in 2022 and has garnered critical acclaim.

The independent distributer-financier previously rescued The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, which is currently playing in theaters.

In recent years, Ketchup has also been behind the releases of Weekend in Taipei, Goodrich, Hellboy: The Crooked Man, Memory, Ferrari, Hypnotic, and Bushwick.

The trade does note that the deal could still fall apart, but things are progressing in the right direction for now. If/when the deal is finalized, expect to see Coyote vs. Acme hit theaters sometime in 2026.

“Sex Lives of College Girls” has been canceled at Max, Variety has confirmed.

The series aired for three seasons at the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service. Season 3 of the show debuted in November, with the season finale airing on Jan. 25. The show itself originally premiered on Max in 2021.

Mindy Kaling co-created the series with Justin Noble under her overall deal with studio Warner Bros. Television. Per the official logline, it “follows a group of college students at New England’s prestigious Essex College.”

Reps for Wbtv declined to comment, but according to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the studio is currently shopping the show to other outlets.

Superman is one of the year's most highly anticipated movies, so it's not exactly surprising to see so much buzz - both positive and negative - surrounding James Gunn's long-awaited reboot.

Test screenings have dominated the conversation in recent weeks and, in the latest edition of his newsletter, Jeff Sneider shared a few more details.

Chief among them is that he's heard Superman's current runtime is roughly 140 minutes. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was Gunn's longest movie at 150 minutes, while his Dceu debut, The Suicide Squad, was 132 minutes.

"I spoke to someone this weekend who has seen 'Superman,' and they really liked it," the insider explained. "They said David Corenswet delivers as the Man of Steel and that the 'jokey moments' I mentioned on my podcast, 'The Hot Mic,' were initially viewed out of context, but worked much better within the flow of the edit.

John Cena didn’t have a great year at the movies in 2024. His films like Ricky Stanicky and Jackpot! were nothing more than time-killers. However, he had a couple of interesting cameo appearances, notably in the third season of The Bear and the 36th season of The Simpsons. Hopefully, he is about to change that with his upcoming films.

We’re going to see Cena more in WWE instead of the movies this year, as he has announced his retirement from professional wrestling after 2025. However, fans will eventually get to see him in some action-packed and comedy films.

His movie slate ranges from the action-comedy film Heads of State to the long-gestating The Janson Directive. He will also reprise his DC anti-hero role in the second season of James Gunn’s Peacemaker. Cena is set to appear in the following movies next.

At the end of 2022, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker director James Gunn was named co-ceo of DC Studios alongside veteran producer Peter Safran.

Gunn is believed to be focusing primarily on the creative side of the Dcu and, provided nothing goes disastrously wrong, is expected to remain in his first executive role for anywhere up to a decade. The filmmaker has already worked on Creature Commandos and Peacemaker season 2 and is currently in post-production on Superman.

According to a new report from Puck, Gunn is one of many industry figures who have hybrid deals covering their creative and executive duties. In Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige's case, for example, he's likely paid separately for his President and executive producer positions.

Gunn, meanwhile, looks set to score as many as three paydays for his work on Superman.

A new report explains how DC Studios' James Gunn will be paid for his duties in Superman. The Dcu's first chapter is being overseen by DC Studios head James Gunn, who's writing Creature Commandos and Peacemaker season 2, apart from writing and directing the Dcu's first movie, Superman. James Gunn is attached to the Dcu for the following eight to ten years, as Gunn and Peter Safran's foundations for the franchise are based on a ten-year plan.

Years after its announcement, the live-action Duke Nukem filmadaptation has received an optimistic, if not vague, update.

In 2018, John Cena was confirmed to star in a film adaptation of the raunchy Duke Nukem video game franchise. While the project has been in limbo for quite some time, producer Brad Fuller gave a vague but optimistic update to Screen Rant. During the South by Southwest film festival (SXSW), Fuller mostly spoke about his upcoming film The Astronaut but also gave a long-awaited update on Duke Nukem.

James Gunn has become a name synonymous with the superhero genre, and while he's done other projects outside of the comic book movies - both before and since his big break with the first Guardians of the Galaxy flick - you can't deny that superheroes are his bread and butter. The chances of it ever happening seemed slim, especially as the Peacemaker star has granted more Make-a-Wish requests than anyone in history. In 2025, Cena is embarking on a retirement tour and will hang up his wrestling boots and jorts for good at the end of this year.

The first look at Lanterns has just been unveiled. An HBO Original Series, the Dcu-set show will feature Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, respectively, playing the live-action versions of the Hal Jordan and John Stewart incarnations of Green Lantern.

In the first look photo, Hal and John are shown walking side by side in the middle of a road. They appear to have a purpose, but what exactly is happening in the scene remains to be seen. Notably, neither character is wearing the bright green colors that define Green Lantern, other than a familiar ring visible on one of Hal's fingers. Peacemaker season 2 is set to premiere on HBO and Max this August and creator James Gunn has just dropped a first official look at Steve Agee as the returning John Economos.

Introduced in 2021's The Suicide Squad, the character has become a firm fan favourite and, after taking on a key supporting role in Peacemaker's first season, made his Dcu debut in Creature Commandos last year. As Amanda Waller's right-hand man, it's unclear what he'll bring to the table when this show returns, especially as Rick Flag Sr. is expected to be calling the shots in A.R.G.U.S.

This is only the second official image from Peacemaker season 2 after Gunn previously teased a mysterious new villain (we've included that at the bottom of this post). DC Stduios has yet to share anything showing Christopher Smith in action, though promo art revealed the anti-hero's new helmet design last year.

We're less than six months away from the release of Superman, the first tentpole film launching the new DC Universe under James Gunn, but the studio head is already looking forward by dropping a new look at another 2025 project. Gunn took to his personal X account to unveil a new photo of John Economos (Steve Agee) in Peacemaker Season 2, which is coming to Max this August. Warner Bros. Discovery announced today that its premier streaming service Max will launch direct-to-consumer in Australia on Monday, March 31.

The first video games based on James Gunn's and Peter Safran's DC Universe are still years away from being revealed, but the co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studios have revealed they are actively working with the various WB Games teams.

Speaking at a DC Studios presentation, the duo explained that they are working closely with the WB Games division, assisting studios like Mortal Kombat creator NetherRealm and Batman: Arkham developer Rocksteady on character design and story.
