As interesting as waiting in line at the DMV

If someone decided to create an extremely low-budget movie about waiting in line at the DMV that ran for an hour and a half, it would still be less painful to watch than this. To call it self-indulgent would be a drastic understatement. There are so many stories about the excesses of the seventies in New York City and the consequences that came after, and this is probably the most boringly tedious of them all. Bad acting, horrible script, hideous cast and even worse editing made this a film to miss at all cost.

    Disappointing

An unattractive cast in an unattractive film! Verow has been directing films for many years, but he has yet to learn how to cast them and make them.. Like another reviewer, I too couldn't finish it.

Save yourselves and run away from this movie

I have to admit that I read the other reviews before actively choosing to finish watching this train wreck of a movie, just to prove that I could make it.

If you do likewise, challenge yourself to see how many shots or bong hits it takes to make this movie approach anything tolerable.

Script, plot development, music and acting are all equally embarrassing. And, as another reviewer described, the manner in which the director mis-represents the dates of the onset of the AIDS crisis really is a slap in the face to the gay community. And a final note to the director: if you're going to make a cameo, try not to embarrass yourself as well.

    20 Minutes In...and I am OUT

I gave the film 20 minutes to interest me, but it failed. The characters are so unattractive, especially the short fat dark sissy "friend" and the acting is so bad. Tip to directors everywhere: when an actor is not a smoker, and the script requires a smoker, make him learn how to smoke before casting him. These guys, supposedly portraying smokers because almost all adults smoked in the 70's, all look like they never picked up a cigarette or inhaled one before. They all hold them gingerly and do not know how to put them to their lips or inhale like a real smoker does.

    Goobye 1hr 31 min.

I really want to rate this 1.3"!

I read the other reviews and I wish I had laundry to fold as well. On the other hand, I should like to pick up that award for watching the whole movie. I thought the only awful things to come out of Bangor were in Stephen King Stories. I can't imagine who bankrolled this!

    • Goofs
A character uses the phrase "gay cancer" in 1979. That phrase, used before AIDS was so named because of the high incidence of Kaposi's sarcoma among gay men, was not coined until 1981.
