This film is based on a critically acclaimed stage play from 2010 that starred Clive Russell and uses footage shot in that year of Leslie Grantham and a number of famous snooker players. The lead actor, Jeff Stevenson has been a stand up comic for most of his life and was in the film Bugsy Malone as a child actor. The main part of the film was shot during the easing of Lockdown under strict covid-19 guidelines with only one actor and 4 crew on set at any one time.
