Representatives for the actor told The Hollywood Reporter that the motorcycle accident only involved Perdomo, and that no one else was injured in the tragic incident.

Exclusive: Following a successful collaboration with Voltage Pictures on the April U.S. release of Beautiful Disaster, Vertical has picked up U.S. rights to See You On Venus, another YA romance from the company. The film from rising Spanish filmmaker Joaquín Llamas (Sorry If I Call You Love), which stars Beautiful Disaster‘s Virginia Gardner and Alex Aiono (Beautiful Wedding), is slated for release in theaters on July 21.

Voltage is handling International sales and will be in Cannes with the film this month.

The Gen V cast introduces some promising new characters to The Boys universe and brings back some iconic characters from the flagship series. Loosely inspired by the story arc “We Gotta Go Now” from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s The Boys comics, Gen V revolves around a group of young Supes who are put through various battle royales to test their superpowers at Vought International’s Godolkin University School of Crimefighting. Originally titled The Boys Presents: Varsity, Gen V is essentially a take on The Hunger Games narrative set in a world full of superheroes.

After Ever Happy, the fourth installment in the After series, hit Netflix on December 25, quickly making its way into the Top 10 Movies in the U.S. In the tradition of its spiritual predecessors The Twilight Saga and the Fifty Shades of Grey series, After is a series of films adapted from a successful book series that romanticizes an unhealthy, abusive relationship without identifying or critiquing it as such.

The sequel to ‘After Ever Happy‘ (2022), which was based on the 2015 novel of same title by Anna Todd, wherein Hardin and Tessa are separated. It is directed by Castille Landon and starring Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes Tiffin and Louise Lombard.

On the last weekend of 2022 and the first day of 2023, Netflix will welcome a thriller drama TV series, a comedy-drama movie, and an anthology heist TV series. Netflix will be closing 2022 on a high note with some interesting titles, both licensed and original, and as it does on the first day of each month, the streaming giant will add a long list of licensed content, kicking off 2023 with the right foot. There have been a lot of YA romances that have captured audiences’ hearts over the last decade. However, none have arguably been as popular or as everlasting as the After saga of films. Based on the book series by Anna Todd, After has had three sequels and was supposed to have ended this year's After Ever Happy. However, before that film’s release the franchise star Hero Fiennes Tiffin announced that there was going to be a fifth film to close out the series, After Everything. The other surprising news was it was already filmed. Now ahead of After Everything’s release in 2023, the new final film has received its first teaser trailer.

“Ticket to Paradise” nearly swept the VOD charts this week, falling short only at Google Play. The Julia Roberts-George Clooney rom-com success, heading to a domestic theatrical gross of perhaps 75 million, hewed to the studio’s standard plan of home release after three weekends. It’s still thriving in theaters, taking #3 for the weekend, providing more evidence that theatrical play elevates films for home play. The increased marketing might even help theatrical.

Theatrical success also was key for Netflix’s new #1. “Where the Crawdads Sing.” Sony’s very successful adaptation of Delia Reese’s best seller opened mid-July with a domestic 90 million total. Theaters can’t live by comic book and other franchises alone; they need a resurgence of standalone successes in other genres. “Ticket” and “Crawdads” are also the kinds of projects that top streamers want to corral, with limited or no theatrical footprint.
