    Fantastic

I think this is one of the most entertaining movies come out of ' uninspiring ' repetitive crap very refreshing, down to earth, Witty and above all shows some real 'people' not everyone's cup of tea.

Looks like the script writer and the director himself has done some groundwork in terms of characters and the persona they bring on the table.

why can't we get more of these kind of movies out of Mumbai. I think there is a refershing change on the way, otherwise watching 3 hour marathons.

Lucky's character seem to resonate with the big divide, where Well done to the entire team.

    A Smart Comedy

Oye Lucky Lucky Oye directed by Dibakar Banerjee is an excellent comedy movie.

Based on a real life incident,Oye Lucky Lucky Oye is a smart, brilliant comedy film which test your intelligence.

Story: Inspired by the incredible true story of Lucky Singh (Abhay Deol), an extremely charismatic and fearless confident man and thief who socialized with the rich, famous and influential of Delhi society and then proceeded to rob them blind. He was strongly detested by the police and had stolen millions by the time he was caught. A modern day Robin Hood with a twist, he robbed both the rich and the poor without prejudice. Nothing was too big nor was anything too insignificant to escape his attention. The film opens with his trial and charts his rise from the projects of crime ridden suburban Delhi to the very heart of the corridors of power. Along the way he makes lifelong friends, falls in love an manages to outwit the entire law and order machinery.

    The writing is smart.

The direction is fabulous.Kudos to Dibakar Banerjee! The dialogs are the high-point of the film.

Another reason why Oye Lucky Lucky Oye rocks is because of its award-worthy performances.Abhay Deol is amazing. But the scene stealer, here is,Paresh Rawal who essays the role of three different characters excellently. He is brilliant.Neetu Chandra in a small role is good.Manu Chandra as Lucky's friend is excellent.Archana Puran Singh is good too.Manjot Sinh is funny.

All in all,Oye Lucky Lucky Oye is a must-watch because it is one of those few films which really tests your intelligence.I am giving it a eight on ten.Must Watch!

    Worth it

All I want to say is critic's bashed this movie and said this was a average flick, but don't go by critics and just enjoy this movie which is set up in a really nice pace.

It traces the story of "Lucky" a boy from who his teenage learns to become a master in stealing.Abhay does a damn good job as "Lucky" and kudos to "Paresh" who brings a new sense of freshness to every characters he plays. The voice modulation in each of the characters is great by paresh. The story is damn good right from the scripting to editing.Every character in this one are the kind of people we see in day to day life like "Lucky" who thinks or must say does what he likes doing best. If u want to watch a good movie without our so called stars, Just watch this flick. It will be etched in your mind for sometime. Must rate it 9/10 and kudos to the director for making such a movie which has a really fresh feel.I am more for this kind of stuff .Enjoy "LUCKY"...

    Masterpiece of a movie !!

Oye Lucky Lucky Oye ! Lucky to get such a wonderful movie. when bollywood is producing only crap on name of Big flicks, OLLO, comparatively very low budget flick, brings a Breeze of freshness. The movie is a true masterpiece and extremely original because of its sheer brilliant direction. Hats off to Mr.Dibakar Banerjee for this great, aesthetic and tasteful movie in all the aspects. Dibakar earns full points for being that courageous to experiment is all the parts of movie, whether it is characterization, or multiple roles by Paresh Bhai, or folk, traditional music. Creativity inside him seems to be boiling in full temperature and that really raises our expectation bar for the next time. Abhay Deol could be the only adequate choice for that Ultra cool "Superchor" and he proves it. Abhay, having a special crowd of fans, again gifts them a terrific movie. His acing is awesome and fits very nicely to the character. His chuckling face, innocent smile drives you crazy and evokes a sense of pristine happiness inside you. Paresh Rawal is one of the most talented character artist of Hindi film industry and this movie consolidates the fact.

One thing, I am sure about the movie, those who will like it, wont be able to control himself watching it again and again. Very solid performance by young lucky and his cute, innocent greeting card girl. That sequence of movie is super cute and makes you hold your heart and breath. Music adds flavor in the movie and very nicely transplanted in background, that makes movie very speedy. Also for those who does not know, the singers were selected by folk songs competitions in haryana and Punjab's villages. Brilliant idea!! Truly wonderful and natural music, superb acting and innovative direction ! Kudos to all !!

    Dark comedy

For ages in India the films were over the top unrealistic affairs. This film was one of the first films in mainstream cinema to incorporate realistic dialogue, acting and characters. One of the first dark comedies and one of the best.

It's a story of a common thief and his merry ways. The performances are superb. The editing and direction is great. Music is good too. A film which will achieve cult status.
