James Panetta has a hand in every department, so we all know where to point the finger.

Death from beyond 2: Eternal damnation is the follow up to the 2006 Death from beyond. I have seen this also, but could not tell you anything about that effort as it is a long distant memory.

I would like to tell you what this film was about, but I am struggling as I really could not follow the plot. Maybe this was due to the length of time from viewing the 1st one to this? Something about people being reincarnated time and again and battling the same adversaries and demons.

James Panetta did everything on this film from direct, act, edit, costume design etc. There is some gore, some of which is CGI. Talking of the CGI, there are copious amounts of it on show here. To the extent that characters wander through whole sets of CGI environments. Some of the scenery is made up of curtains hanging from walls and that's it. Some of the CGI environments did give this a bit of an odd quality and some of the special effects were OK for such a small budget. Note I said some (not all as most are abysmal). One of the people gets hanged and the rope used was far from taut!!! Just gives you an impression of the rest of the film really.

I did like some of the music used.

On the strength of this I will not be revisiting the 1st one, even to find out what the hell is going on.

    Masterpiece..... of ineptitude!

This "movie" and trust me, I use that term lightly, is a real disaster from start to finish. It is what happens when you write a "script" far, far, FAR more ambitious than your budget (I use the term script lightly too). Most of the effects and locations are CGI, really, really BAD CGI! The one man team James Panetti, that wrote, directed, produced, starred in, filmed, etc this tripe, should be banned from ever making a movie again. One of the lowest points on the movie is when there is an obviously fake magazine article claiming that one of the main characters previous films is the "hotest" film of the year. I understand that not everyone spells well, but please spell check something you are going to ZOOM IN on. I only give this film 2 stars because it appears no one was killed when filming the far too frequent sword fights!

    Not Terrible

Death From Beyond 2 doesn't try to be anything more than a low cost special effects movie in the image of highlander. The plot revolves around four beings whose dreams are filled with flashbacks of battles they fought in past lives which they are destined to repeat in this one.

On the upside the movie does a good job with some obviously low budget special effects. The flying demons integrate well with the other characters and the glowing gem effects work too. The actresses are amazon babes and the evil ones do a great job at over the top evil.

Despite the things the movie does well it is far from a good movie. The males in the movie are fat and bald which turns fight scenes into Jon Lovitz look alikes doing kung fu. Some sets like the stone pavilion work well but most look like flimsy cardboard and plywood masquerading as stone. After about 30 minutes the action gets repetitive and the movie gets boring.
