One of the only shows I actually don't want to miss. As for the IQ comment's I have a IQ over 130 and my Father has one over 140 and we both love this show. It has witty innuendos, smart humor and references. I especially love how they make fun of them selves and the genre it's self.
Like the underpowered wizard who constantly tries to prove his abilities by lying or how Krod is a freedom fighter yet he has a slave to name a few.
I just love every thing about this show. So bring me a tub of goose fat and a clean sock because I'm sticking to the tube with flaming sword in hand for this one.

The commercials didn't make me laugh but they did catch my interest. I had Tivo grab the first episode. I wasn't expecting much, but I soon found myself laughing out loud - a LOT. Krod Mandoon has quickly become one of my favorite shows. It's a campy medieval comedy packed with great characters. From what I've seen in reviews, people either love it or hate it. I think some people don't get that it's meant to be campy. It's not going to have a tight plot with brilliant acting - it's supposed to be a low-budget romp. Some of the moments of humor are totally unique, too - things I've never seen before, and they surprise me so much I have to hit pause so I can ROFL. Dongalor, the bad guy, is particularly funny. And somehow they managed to give everybody the worst hair I've ever seen. It's stunning. Anyways, I love this show.
Krod Mandoon is not great comedy, but at least it's better than 90% of the garbage that claims to be funny on American TV these days, and it's a whole lot better than most of the overrated British stuff too. I mean let's face facts - Little Britain was a load of garbage. I wish the Python team were still doing comedy, but until another truly genius team comes along, Krod Mandoon does make me chuckle a bit, which is more than can be said for the rest of the so-called 'comedies' out there. Sure, it's not Python, it's not Blackadder, and it's not even on the level of Absolutely Fabulous, but at least it's not just another Friends or Seinfeld clone.
It is an interesting series with a lighthearted take on medieval action adventures. There are interesting characters and funny jokes, but it isn't as well done as it could be. The story is a rehash of your basic peasant knight saves the kingdom type deal, and the actors don't give it 100%. The characters aren't very original, except for Anika, but she is far from a saving grace. I would liken it to Eragon with sex jokes and slightly better writing. I am sad that this series wasn't given more thought as it seems it could have been like the BBC series Robin Hood. Hopefully the writers pull it together and Comedy centrals audience doesn't give up on it very easily.
I enjoyed watching this show, and no my IQ is not under 90 (which is considered an average persons IQ :) ) There are many gags that are new as fantasy/comedy has not been done as well before this. The very fact that the show is so tongue in cheek makes it funny. Plus the characters and their defects and hang-ups add a lot of humor to the situations they find/place themselves into.
If you enjoy fantasy movies/novels LOTR, Terry Brooks Sword of Truth series and show "legend of the seeker". I would definitely recommend this just for the lampooning of fantasy monsters and characters that are on the show! Yes it is sophomoric humor, but that is why the show is on Comedy Central.

- TriviaSean Maguire originally passed on the part because he wanted to do a more serious project following his role in the poorly-received comedy movie Meet the Spartans (2008), and did not think the show was right for him. He also thought the title sounded stupid. His manager encouraged him to read the script and give it another chance, and, upon reading the script, Maguire changed his mind and decided he wanted the role.
