This mystery was both thrilling and beautifully captured. No matter how many assumptions audiences may make throughout the story...twists and turns will keep them guessing "Who Killed Cooper Dunn" all the way to the end.
Well told and committed by the cast and crew - lead by multi-hyphenate Nino Aldi. The talent was evident and leaned into all throughout this modestly budgeted indie feature.
As a bonus: Ely, near the Minnesota Boundary Waters, was both a scenic backdrop while simultaneously defining the clear isolation for our unraveling characters.
Would recommend watching with your old lifelong friends!

Literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The over-acting, repetitive plot points, and dramatic music will make you regret ever pressing play. I'm honestly surprised this movie is even on Showtime. It should be on a list of bad student films. Also, there's a 'twist' at the end that tries to be smart but it just adds to the B-level cheesiness of the entire production. I honestly fast forwarded about 10 minute increments at a time just to get through the whininess and whimpering that half of the script contained for these overgrown fratboys on their drunken trip into the woods. Don't do it.
I saw what looked like Knife Lake while flipping through channels (I spent 8 days & nights last summer paddle boarding a 60-70 mile loop solo through the BWCA: fishing, catching some sun, watching Rick & Morty in a dry cozy tent in the pouring rain while hitting the vape pen 😀, etc. - just a great place - a black bear swam 30 feet in front of me crossing one of the lakes in a narrow channel); The movie - absolutely awful. I couldn't watch more than about ~30 minutes. Just dumb in pretty much every way; the plot is nonsensical and the acting is atrocious. The only redeeming thing about this movie is that its a valuable reminder that I'd rather be doing something outside. I gave it a free star because I love the BWCA, but don't waste your time on this.
I did not expect the ending... completely took me by surprise. You must watch until the end!
The picture was gorgeous. The talent was incredible. I loved the sound track. The story felt very complete and satisfying. I honestly have watched it multiple times already because of how great it was. You have to add this film to your MUST watch list IMMEDIATELY!!!!
SO WORTH my time.
Paul Elia absolutely crushed this role. All the actors seemed to have an amazing chemistry.
Nino Aldi played Richie very well. I can't believe he not only co-stared but also wrote, produced, and directed. This is a filmmaker we all need to keep our eyes on. He is going to do incredible things!!!

I watched the first thirty minutes and then skipped to the end to see the solution. To anyone who sat through the entire movie, why? The writers apparently have a vocabulary of eighty words. Obscenties run rampant. In an attempt to make it real or gritty? The effect is to induce complete and utter boredom and disgust.
In addition to the awful dialogue and obnoxious, ridiculous characters, the "story" is nonexistent. Consisting of antics reflecting the fantasies of a fifteen-year-old boy; followed by actions which defy reality, logic, and any sort of common sense.
And for the twist at the end, the less said the better. I normally don't give one or two star since I caan usually find something redeemable but not in this one.
