    Federico Fellini

Our movie-maker loved classic cinema. He loved the work of Federico Fellini, and classic horror; such as Nosferatu. He also loved the classic, big-busted blonde; like Melantha Blackthorne. The story is almost nonexistent. The dialogue is sort of a spoof on 1940's Film Noir; thus our protagonist's name, Lilith Noir. I gave Fable seven stars, not for supposed quality; but in regards to my own enjoyment. I liked this long, rambling, schizophrenic film. And I also like our big-busted, muscular blonde champion, with the ramen noodle hair. Seven stars.

Amazing BEYOND normal look thru sci-fi and mythic good vs evil

    Starring Melantha Blackthorne.

WOW,Just try and label this 'Punk Noir' piece of SciFi /Horror effort. This is amazing in its nods to Blade Runner,Clive Barker and HR Giger. Melantha is truly One-Of-A-Kind in her portrayal and owns this world of Green Screen,CGI and some effects that are off-the-hook. There are some really thought out characters that help the lead for better or for worse, How did the screenwriter and for that matter director come up with this most unusual and successful film ? Truly a work of scope and promise that needs to be seen.

Imagine yourself going on a ride 'that blows on a budget'.

This film is a stylistic romp through the dark passages of the mind, in a city called...Fable

This film is an exercise in style. Every second of this horror action film oozes atmosphere and creepiness. There is very little dialogue at parts which gives the story an edgier more uncomfortable reality. This is not a comedy, as so many horror films are today, and it would be easier to watch if it were. The heroine of the story is sexy and bad to the bone. She is equal parts sex and violence. The make up in this film is top notch and there are some scenes that are truly horrible in a great way! This is a perfect movie to cuddle up with that special freak of yours. Or watch it alone, preferably in the dark after too much self medication! A treat for Lynch and Barker and Phantasm fans!

    Yeah, it's that bad

I really try to avoid giving 1 star reviews ... you can almost always find a redeeming quality or actor. But not here.

The first obvious issue is the camera work: they couldn't at least find an iPhone? Whomever thought they were being cute with the shooting/coloring/quality of the film should be barred. And the setup of the scenes could not have been worse. At least there had to have been a script, as no actor would dream up some of the god-awful lines and cliches on their own ... or would they?

All in all I found this almost intolerable. So why, might you ask, did some give this a 7 star review? Look at their review history. Most have only reviewed a single title ... this movie. Hmm, sounds like family and friends just opened a IMDB account?

    A Fable tale of Fable

Having previously been impressed with the performance of Melantha Blackthorne in the film She Demons of the Black Sunwhich, which also starred Suzi Lorraine, I was interested to see how she fared playing a different type of role in Fable: Teeth of Beasts. On this occasion, she performs the role of Lilith Noir, female enforcer and protector who is engaged in fighting the forces of evil that lurk in a surreal and dismal location called Fable.

This is an ambitious film made by an independent company on a limited budget and they certainly make the most of the available resources. The complex and interesting story line crosses over various film categories including, SciFi, Action, Fantasy, Horror and even elements of Voodoo magic sprinkled with Goth undertones. The film deftly blends computer imagery with real action in the creation of a dark and nightmarish atmosphere as the story switches between different worlds. Slow movement and flickering lights plus an abundance of CGI effects combine to present the surreal backcloth to the action. The scenes are often claustrophobic and apocalyptic in a compelling story. I must admit that I was a little confused regarding the storyline and characters for about the first 15 minutes but after going back to the start I began to grasp the situation. This understanding was further enhanced by the introduction of a voice-over describing the background in the early part of the film - very neatly done.

My only minor criticism is that I felt the special/visual effects were slightly overcooked on some occasions, ie over utilised, and that actual locations could have been more effective, if used, instead of constructed studio sets. But I certainly appreciate that locations such as Ancient monuments similar to Stonehenge and old castle/abbey ruins would not be readily available especially if the budget was limited. But overall, this film ticked more positive boxes than negative.

The presence of Lilith Noir is the dominating one throughout the film. She is hard fighting and straight talking but one senses that beneath the surface there is a person who is vulnerable. Melantha Blackthorne performs this role with the perfect degree of gusto and enthusiasm. It is clear that she has ablly utilised her previous acting, stunt and modelling experience and ability in making the fullest visual impact on every scene that she strides into. She reminded me of Kathy Long's appearances in The Stranger and the current generation of Japanese action heroines who can now be seen in such films as Machine Girl, Azumi and Ninja Girl. I certainly look forward to future films featuring this versatile young actress.
