Entertaining, not extraordinary

The film is somewhat entertaining. The objectives of Devon don't make sense to a sane mind, but that makes it clear that the character is maddened. The role of his brother David is not clear in the story: he is totally subject to Devon's wills, doing whatever he says, and Devon uses his brother with no regards for his feelings or thoughts. This film gets you attention for Nikki's escaping attempts and hopes, that fade away day by day, and also for the mysterious situation of Susan, locked in the cellar, with no clue as to why or how she got there. The unexpected end is not exactly surprising, but adds positively to the film.
