    Rough-and-ready

This film was simar to my assignments for school: I start to work on them and the beginning is so perfect, but then I don't feel like working on it and suddenly I have only one day to finish the whole essay. It is true for this film as well. The ending was a little bit disappointing.

Apart from this, I enjoyed the movie, it s great for a cozy Advent night, good for families as well. It was funny, but the end was rough-and-ready. They could have bring out more of it for sure. :) But I'll give it a 8/10 because it concerned important topics, such as anxiety and fear. Also, Hungarian culture is shown in the film.

Better to go for a walk instead

I am generally ok with romcoms at the right time and place. This film was on local TV in Hungary so I sat down with family and watched it. Wish I hadn't.

The script is just plain boredom. Lines thrown in at random, no real storyline or characters. Really? This is what comes out of a 900M HUF budget? I have seen some shambolic acts in my life, but this is one of the top ten.

With my friends we used to make sport of watching IMDB's bottom 100 films. We came across some really bad, that deservedly belonged to the worst 100, but definitely watched one or two that can easily be replaced with a film like this. This film is definitely not in the region of 6.x points. More like between 2-3.

    Thanks for reading.

    Underrated

I'm not a huge fan of romcoms and I usually don't write reviews, but didn't agree with the previous opinions. The story is interesting, has several deeper things to say. As a romcom it cannot be absolutely without clichés, but I think it's not full of them, there are a lot of funny moments, I laughed a lot and I was not bored at all.

For Hungarian watchers most of the actors are well known. The characters are interesting, they do some usual Hungarian theatrical overplay .. but not all of them, and it was not annoying for me.

My favorite characters were the chestnut sales man and the firefighter with the big moustache.

If you like romcoms, I would absolutely recommend it.

    Secondhand emberrasment: The movie

I'll never let my mom choose a movie ever again.

Hungarian cinema proved themselves again that they can't produce anything watchable in the recent years.

I just can't understand that how is it possible that we made Ötödik pecsét, Indul a bakterház, Zimmer Feri, 2 Oscar-winning movies!!! And many other fantastic films, and then produce these colossal cinematic disasters, lacking in ablsolutely everything.

My expectations weren't high. I didn't expect an experience that changes my life, and I don't hate romantic comedies either. But this film ho boy...

First of all the dialouge. It's awful. I has no character, no charm no charisma (also true for the characters) and nothing like how Hungarians talk. It's crude, and unrealistic because they never use honorifics and dont understand satire. The characters are just as bad. All of them are annoyingly excessive. They icluded EVERY cliché they could.

    1. The couple doesn't seem to be a match at first.

    2. A crisis makes them know more about each other.

    3. "Come I want to show you something" jarring cringe magical moment when they fall truly in love" 4. Some kind of drama happens so one of them feels betrayed now *very sad* 5. The guy saves the day last minute so they reconcile, and kiss. Happy End!

This maybe doesn't seem so bad but when the movie lacks any kind of self avareness about how ridiculous it is becomes verry annoying. The main problem in the film is that a firefighter wants to ask out his girlfriend to marry him by romantically coming to her window with those hoists that firefighters use for rescuing people from high places, and he happen to see that his girlfriend is cheating on him with a famous movie star, who plays a firefighter in his recent film. After seeing this, socked, he looses his ballance, and fells down from the hoist. (He suffers no injuries) After this incident he develops a fear for height (which is can be so intense that he cant climb on the first step on the ladder) and he has hallucinatios about the guy who his girlfriend cheated with teasing, and insulting him. The film revolves around this.

And this may sound very funny but if it was supposed to be persived as such, than the movie makes an awful job portraying that.

If this movie was a satire it would be fantastic. Seriously there is so much mind blowingly stupid moments in the film and the characters are so stupidly simple and cringe that it could be perfect.

Classic XMAS rom-com. Nothing more, nothing less.

A good XMAS comedy to watch at home.

It has everything a XMAS comedy needs: Romance, a pinch of drama, children, humour, music, self irony and a great cast.

Don't expect deep, meaningful dialogues, just funny lines! It's a comedy for winter evenings, sitting on you favourite couch with your family. You can rewatch it every year just like you do with Home Alone.

The story is predictable and built from clichés, but it's done in a funny way. In the end everyone gets what they deserved. I rarely laugh on movies, but this piece made me laugh several times.

Sure it's appeals mostly to Hungarian people, but now you can enjoy it with subtitles on Netflix.
