... to make a good, serious horror movie. That effort failed. I can't say that there wasn't potential here, but the whole idea would have worked better as a horror comedy based on the budget and the lack of believability in the actors.
From the very beginning, the production credits and their amateurish, cartoony look indicate this is going to be low budget. Low budget doesn't always have to mean low quality, though. The plot isn't bad, but the script is lacking, and though some of the performances are over the top, others are wooden. If this is a first effort, it shows.
I say pass on this one.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure meets The Strangers. The script...the script...the script...If only the script was developed better. For a true indie, there were highlights. Cinematography was pretty good! Sound design was solid, decent lighting, & story pacing was alright. There are impressive merits here... but the script subtracts from all of that. If you're going to have first time actors, you need a solid screenplay. Parts of the story went under developed, while the witty dialogue didn't hit the way it should with the humorous parts. Could be directing, could be casting, could be acting, but all deficiencies are likely tied to the underdeveloped script. I understand what the idea was... However, the execution was mediocre.
OK, credit where credit is due. There may have been one or two actors that took have potential and may have a future. And ... I got nothing else, sorry.
The script is horrible, only surpassed by the directing and the photography. ... and maybe the sound. The stages weren't all that great either.
In general, there was no attempt to put any polish on this whatsoever. The scenes are crude, without any attempt to add any depth. The lines, although occasionally something you might actually say in real life, were poorly delivered. Sometimes almost mechanically, and other times way to 'drama class-ish'.
I would like to say 'go back and try again ', but I don't really want to think about what a sequel from this crew would look like.
