Fire, samurai, big chunks of metal, oh dear

And now we have Crown Of The Old Iron King, the second expansion for Dark Souls 2, and my favourite one. It has the least amount of annoying or nonsensical things of any of these DLC's, although it still does fall victim to a dumb and annoying optional area in the Iron Passage, with a lazy re-skin of a boss that already existed in the base game.

Everything else is really good stuff though, some of the best Dark Souls 2 has to offer. Brume Tower is a great area with a lot of inter-connectivity and an interesting way of traversing it, and looks utterly gorgeous. The new enemy design is much better than it was in Sunken King, the bosses are better, the lore is slightly more interesting in my opinion, and the new equipment is all really interesting as well.

Really I don't have all that much to say about this that I didn't say about Sunken King, other than it's much of the same but better, so again, if you like the base game...
