A movie that has heart. :)

I've never written a movie review before, but feel that I must respond to the critical review by seashel2001 because of also attending a screening of Ashley's Ashes and seeing it very differently. I agree with the good lady that the movie is "sweet" but beyond that it's great entertainment. But R-rated? Definitely not, probably PG-13. As for her view of "bordering on porn" and "not a family movie", serious adult issues are included in the dialogue, but there's no nudity, no sex, no violence, and only mild profanity – never the "F" word. Still, this is certainly not a movie for children, who would not fathom the idea of redefining one's life. The "bimbo" was obviously in the movie to make a point about the state of Bob's life before he inherited the urn. Overall, the story line in Ashley's Ashes is funny, if a bit over the top, with a great supporting cast of characters and a touching conclusion.

Not a good clean family movie, at all

You know..I just don't care how sweet the plot was to this movie, they did not have to use sex to keep the audience's attention. This film just came out with The Heartland Film Festival, and I was highly disappointed, when my husband and I and our 14 year old son, just wanted to go see a nice family movie. It's sleezy, and low budget type. Even when they finally got to the plot of the movie, that was sweet, they ruin it with some loud mouth bimbo at the end. Not a very classy movie at all. It bordered porn talk and a seventies atmosphere of humor.

Also, the movie has not been rated yet, however Heartland, gave it a rating, and it is way off. When it is rated, it should be rated R.

where do they come up with this crapola ?

Clearly the producers, writers and director were having psychotic episodes while doing this piece of junk ... putting daniel baldwin in the cast was a total brain fart ... i mean look at the jerk he can't even hold a spinning rod correctly and is reeling in reverse upside down ... anyone who fishes knows that and few people except the baldwin brothers would go fishing in a hollywood sewer .... just another piece of garbage to ignore
