The film has many ideas. Not new ones. But common ideas connected with a plot.

And I appreciated most of the ideas. The idea of social class. Loss. A probably ethical person who succumbed to corruption. Purity of ideas, vs monetization of ideas. The struggle to meet lofty expectations. And a famous math problem used as something of a mcguffin. A real problem, but perhaps a bit abused by film makers.

I found the janitors emotions especially compelling. Pain and bitterness came across well.

I have watched the movies 3 times. I understood most of it. But some things were murky. Perhaps because I am american. Or missed stuff. But don't let the complexity at times throw you off. As I say, the ideas are common, and many of us face them in our lives.

I think there's a lot to like here. I think fans of mathematics may especially appreciate the thought that math is beauty and compelling even without a practical purpose for all of it. There's a lot of people who do things strictly for the love of it.

The movie is just average story, quality and some parts lack of logics.

I can only recommend 6.8/10 because the story not that interesting and logics are only minor.

Is it supported by many influenced people to garner North South Korea? I just dont see it's quality can be nominated.

When I started, I didn't expect much. As story evolves, I and my family can't take an eye off all the way to the end. It was very touching human drama and relation story in between a father who lost his son and a teenager boy who has a tough life struggling for his survival in the school where all the genius kids attends. There was no violence, guns, killing yet so beautiful Bach's music and story continues.

Main actor Choi Min Sik who played in many outstanding awarded veteran actor made movie so touching and absorbing. His emotional expression is superb.

This is Must to see movie, loved it.

You just need to change your point of view, so that you will find the Solution!

Even there not be a certain or true answer, you must think about the Question and problem, not only the end!

Process is more important than end.

Maybe told us that it's important to find an exact answer or we can't live!

Or we've been learned to be 1-0-0-1 people and hate everything that makes us unpleasant or unhappy!

But the real world does not work like that. There is no certain answer but we are existing, and this, just this, lead us to our creator, our lives, our choices and our end!

The sad thing about this movie is how society views someone like the security guard as being a failure in life when in reality they could be a genius. There has been so much talent that was wasted because people grow up in a bad time period or in a bad place.

CHOI MIN SIK is one of the greatest actors in the world... he is my favorite actor.

This man is the best actor on earth. Hands down. There is no one like him who can live the role he is playing. I can't imagine anyone acting the character he played at "I saw the devil". And to a sick point, he played the role magnificently. Such a great actor.
