This film was fantastic - and absolutely got at the heart of every mother daughter relationship angle. As a 30 something woman dealing with her own mother relationship issues, I absolutely adored this film and watched it twice. The director truly did his research. It is funny AND heart wrenching, AND very true. The actors selected for this film were interesting, diverse and gave a terrific performance. It is touching without being sappy and witty without being farcical. The preview gives a very accurate snapshot of the movie so watch it and see for yourself. I give it 2 thumbs up for sure! So grab some popcorn, tissues and hot cocoa and have at it.
this was supposed to be a COMEDY?
well the joke's on you, because that's an hour and a half of your life you'll never get back.
the funniest thing about this movie was our commentary, which is saying something since i was sitting in stunned silence at how ridiculously un-comedic this is. don't watch this if you want to be any happier. it's not going to happen.
if this was described as a drama, docudrama, or really anything other than a comedy, i might have liked it better. as it stands, i was expecting to laugh and didn't. in fact, i was so far from laughing that i almost turned it off to stare at a blank TV, which would have been funnier.
