Hungry Dog Blues

I was skeptical of the high rating here with only 50 ratings but I rented it on Prime video to see whats up. The movie is low budget, but it's a decent watch considering that. If you enjoy the crime genre, there is some decent suspense, decent acting, and some violence. I will say my opinion on the storyline is that it is somewhat disjointed. We're thrown right into the story with little background or context at the onset.

It felt to me as if there were too many pieces attempting to connect. It's not that I was confused by or didn't understand the story - it's a simple story. It's more that you get pieces along the way whereas in a full length feature (something more than 90 mins) you may get additional background or context.

All in all, it's a quick watch at around 75 mins, and I don't regret watching it. You can find more in the crime genre with bigger budgets, but this one certainly has a few scenes that are solid.
