this whole series is prposterous

Neither of the writers have even a high school diploma and their idea of math is skewed so bad it makes your stomach roil ... its all pie in the sky mumbo jumbo with no substantial base for logic ... 3rd graders have better math skills ... charles eppes is a figment of their imagination ... all in all the series doesn't measure up

People in California surf. So at some point we need a surfing episode. An old friend of the family comes to them after his son, a world class surfer, dies. It turns out there is foul play. What transpires involves a marijuana farm and some investigations of waves. I just couldn't get interested.

The title of this episode "Charlie don't surf" is a famous line from the movie Apocalypse Now. The film stars Martin Sheen, father of the episode's director, Emilio Estevez. It is also the name a song by the Clash.

Goofs
Surfers are seen riding extremely large waves (50ft according to opening numbers) a boat picks up a surfer and motors away. The ocean is now completely flat, no surf-able waves at all.
