like a home movie and just as exciting

The Cochwoods killer comes back to life after a guy jerks off in the woods (yea I know, right, don't ask). Anyways he goes about killing those who venture into the woods. Meanwhile friends Sam and Gino have to find a way to stop the monster in this supremely low budget horror-comedy with a pretty bad hit to miss joke ratio. This film is a sequel to the "evil Awakening" short film that Geno made when he was younger (conveniently located on the DVD as an extra) that wasn't really that good.This movie is a tad better though not but much. However even baby steps to honing your craft are steps in the right direction I guess. If you don't enjoy low low budget movies (for instance, I could find the budget for this one in between my couch cushions) then stay far away from this one, but if you're (MUCH) more adventurous and a tad undiscerning then give this one a go but even then don't expect too much as a lot of it is like watching a home movie.

My Grade: D
