This movie is so slow.
The plausibility and scientific accuracy seem off.
The characters have waaay too much free time in this "thriller."
The end is decent, but this should have been a 30 minute episode of Black Mirror.

I was excited to watch this movie in the beginning, during COVID what better thriller could there be? Well let me tell you... ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is better than this movie. Within the first 20 minutes of the film I could already tell that we were going to get a horrible performance from main actress Michelle Mylett. I wholeheartedly believe that movies like this are exactly what is wrong with filmmaking in today's world. The job of an actress is to emote Ms. Mylett. If you can honestly watch this movie and say that Michelle Mylett isn't a robot then you have a much greater imagination than I do. I really wish that I had stopped watching this movie and left to get a root canal instead it would've been a lot more enjoyable. I gave the film two stars out of 10. The film gets 10 stars because I enjoy the genre of choice and -8 stars for the god awful performance from the dead fish main actress Michelle Mylett. Do the world a favor Michelle quit being an actor and be a model instead, after all you already have the dead expressionless face nailed down to a T.
Right off the bat the acting was horrible. Super cheesy made-for-tv acting that maybe teenagers are into? The whole plot felt really off and made no sense. As soon as the lab went into "lockdown" (obviously due to a leak of a biohazard) the main actress/actor started acting like nothing was wrong when someone just attacked them. While the "nanobots" were spreading and killing an intern and their coworker was just lying there dead, the main actors were smiling and flirting with each other like nothing was happening. What?! That's when my eyes started rolling. This was the first 20 minutes.
None of the actors were doing or saying what people would be doing in real life. That's bad writing.
So don't waste your time.

Disagree with the other users review, she's great in letterkenny although she clearly isn't a strong enough actress for a lead. Still that being said this movie highlights the importance of a quality writing and directing team and the writing more than anything is clearly the weakest aspect of this film. From Clare's awkward placement in the film to the strange choice of a name like kindar as a stand in for the North Korean regime. A clear result of Hollywood capitulation to the Chinese communist parties rules for foreign cinema.
Plot hole after hole and some of the weakest and poorly chosen dialogue I've ever heard. It felt like a rough draft that never got a good proof read and re write.
This tragic policy making has to stop!! Make movies better again, make tv better again and stop this diversity quotas. Put the most qualified people in charge of directing, writing and acting. No more forced diversity and no more politics.

Dull, cliche plot. 80 minutes of nothing but horrible acting. Seriously, it is a waste of your time. Stop spreading fake rumors about the pandemic, for the love of God.
